My furvever love,Sammy J

This morning my sweet Baboo made the journey across the bridge to join Pebbs,Arthur and Gracie J. His mommy and daddy made the bravest and most selfless choice in letting Sammy go and run free of his pain. I'm just beginning to lose that numb feeling that you get when your world has changed furever, and the pain is starting to get overwhelming. Mommy and Daddy keep reminding me of the joy and love that Sammy brought to my life, to my world, and to the worlds of so many others, and it makes me remember my smile.
I remember when he and I first met, or when I first laid eyes on him, and my whole face beams with the love I felt right from that moment. As I got to know him and his family better, I realized that I must have been touched by a miracle, to have found such a precious gift. He was the strongest and most inspiring person or pup I have ever come across in my life. To go from the beginning he had, to the struggles he faced, and to STILL have such a sparkle, he is my hero. Every Day I had with Sammy made me realize how much I should appreciate every single moment I have with my family, every single breath I take of sweet air, every single hug I get from mommy and daddy. The biggest gift Sammy ever gave me or my family was teaching us to thank DOG every day for all that we had and(and not what we didn't have) and that the bad things are never as bad as they at first seem. If Sammy could face each day with such strength and hope, couldn't we all do that, or at least try?
I will miss my heart,my soul, my love, for every day until we meet again. But for now, in honor of my sweet Baboo, I will live one day at a time, and hold each and every second precious. My love always,

My Monkey has his smile back!!!

My sweet Sammy J and his family have been to hell and back with all his surgeries and illnesses, and then this last amputation. Now I check his diary this morning as usual and I see this brilliant picture of him in his chariot and he looks woofderful!!!! Even more, he got to sit out in the garage with the rest of the family and watch his daddy mow the lawn. It may not sound like much to you, but it is a HUGE deal for him to be back to doing what was once a "normal" activity. I am so excited for all of them. I was praying that this amputation may lessen his pain and bring back the "normal"ness to his life. This is a great start to a fresh beginning for him and the rest of the Roo Crew!!! I am off to sit in the sun and dream of Sammy's smile...

I know I'm not usually one to get all mushy, but I cannot help it right now. Yesterday my dearest sent me a star with a proposal!!!!!!! Samuel Jacob is the love of my life and will furever be in my heart. Now I know once daddy finds out he might be a little protective of his princess, but I'm gonna have to tell him that Sammy and I want to have a life together. I would be the happiest pup on earth to snuggle up to my monkey boy everyday under his favorite tree. *sniffling with tears* I am just so happy!!! Now that I have a wedding to plan, I'll have to think of some bridesmaids. Well Pebbs and Morgie of course... Wow, so many happy things to occupy my mind. I think I'll go snuggle with daddy and dream of Sammy and all the little monkeys he and I will have:-)

Okay, it's been a rough couple of days for me and my family. As such, I won't take too long composing a long, drawn out diary entry. I just wanted to write thank yous to everypup that sent a star, rosette, or kind letter in support of me or my family. I cannot express my thanks enough, but I wanted to try:

Been a while

I know it's been a while since I have had a chance to catch up. What with Pebbies Birthday and our new foster sister and brother-this house has been CRAZY!!! Now that things are starting to settle down(atleast until Turkey Day), I can get back to my normal routine!! I have slept with mommy and daddy a few times in the last few days and mommy said I was making these weird little talking sounds in my sleep. Well, Morgie is usually the one that makes noise while asleep-she barks, whimpers, snores-everything, so this is new to me. Mommy actually woke up and it sounded like I was talking to someone!!! I think mommy may have had a little too much Nyquil that night for her cold!! Doggies may have a language all our own, but we do NOT hu-speak!!
Things around here at Dogster have been exciting what with all of the Turkey phantoms. Me and sisters actually gave away 22 of our own and loved every minute of it!! Nothing feels better than giving (except maybe a belly rub)! We hope all of this love and giving goes on until the holiday-it is so much fun to see how excited everypup gets. These Dogsters have the best hearts of any humans and pups anywhere. What a great community to be a part of!!

OUTSIDE WITH MOMMY!!!

Mommy and Daddy have been so busy lately and it's been rainy and yucky outside, so I feel like I've been seriously neglected when it comes to my quality time with the ball. Mommy took us out today and threw the ball and threw the ball and threw the ball and, well you get the idea. Of course she HAD to take that flashy thing she calls the Camera to point at us. Mommy says I pose better than Pebbs or Morgie though. But of course I do, look at this face. It was made for film. Anyhow, back to my ball. Pebbles tried to take mommy's attention by pushing her big fuzzy butt in my face and Morgie was right there with that big ol' head of hers, but thank DOG for mommy, she kept right on playing with me anyway!!! I could go for another 12 hours, but mommy had to come in for a little break, I guess I could lie down for a little while... SRNK@@@KKK*puppy snoring*

Mommy went to PETCO today!!!

Mommy went out shopping today, which usually bugs me, because she has to leave us, but not today!!! She came home with my favorite kind of bag-the one from PETCO. Although I am a little miffed she didn't take ATLEAST me with her. But all was forgiven when she brought out some yummy hooves. And they weren't just any hooves-they were the kind filled with bacon and cheese!!! She got one for each of us but I kept sneaking over to Pebbles and taking hers back to my bed. Once mommy saw it happen, she put a stop to that! Mommy said she'll take us into the back yard to play once our neighbor lady is done having her garage sale. I don't know why she would be selling her garage, but I don't understand these humans all the time. Until then, I have to take my treat and hide!! i saw mommy get new doggy tooth paste and I HATE getting my teeth brushed. If I hide long enough, maybe she'll forget me and just do Pebbles and Morgans!!

Mommy had me outside with her today for less than ten minutes(Morgan and Sadie were inside) and I started to get really sick. It was 95 degrees today but i wasn't running around so mommy thought I'd be okay. But I started to get really tired and I felt like I couldn't breathe. Mommy rushed me into the house and put a bunch of cold blankets and ice cubes all over me. Finally i started to cool down enough for my heart to slow down. Luckily mommy worked for the Humane society and knew what to do. She was very scared about nerve and brain damage though-but I'm okay. I just want to warn all those other pups and families that even a short amount of time for a short haired doggie can be detrimental. Humans get hot but have a better way of cooling themselves(and no fur), so I hope people see this and keep their pups inside except to go to the potty this summer.

My crush Sammyknows that I like him!!!! I sent him two "secret" rosettes yesterday and he figured me out by the clues that I left. I was so embarrassed-he is such a cutie. I am so used to being around girls that i don't know how to act around boys. He makes my heart flutter. Last night I had a dream where we were both riding in his truck and we stopped and got two pupsicles, then spent the night watching the stars. Ahhhh...he's so dreamy.
