He just enjoys it when we let him out of the fence to run free in the yard.

Arrival Story:
On my way home from work one day, I happened to see a puppy hanging from the neighbor's fence. Evidently, him & his brothers had been climbing the chain-link fence & Cody's leg became tangled. I worked his leg loose & took him home because hiw owners weren't home. I'm guessing he had been like that all day, because he drank several bowls of water & a neighborhood kid said she had heard a puppy crying that morning. We ended up keeping Cody because the owners didn't want all those puppies. For days, Cody ran around with his toes curled under - which was cute, but had me worried. Slowly, he began to regain circulation & was finally able to walk on all four paws. To this day, he has a long imprint of the fence on his leg that will not grow hair. Other than the "scar", he had nothing wrong that love & a good home would not cure.

Bio:
Cody is a very sweet & loving dog - but only after he gets to know you. He is the watch dog over the family & our home. He doesn't take too kindly to strangers - but will warm up to you once he's given the okay & decides for himself that you are worthy of his attention. *May 2005, We just moved into a new home in a another city. Our first night there, Cody & Duke escaped under the fence & haven't been seen since. I do hope they found new homes & are receiving good care.
