Arrival Story:
No one knows exactly how Pita wound up as yet another stray Pit Bull on the streets of Oakland, but the lucky little puppy landed here rather than at the pound (or worse.) Fairly soon after she got over the initial shock of finally being well-fed and safe, her incredible, fun-loving nature started to show. (She actually kissed a bunny through it's cage the first time she went to the vet!) I spent a few months trying to find her a home before I realized that she was already there.
Bio:
We've decided that Pita is an escaped research dog, either from Bayer or Chiron. It's the only way to explain how she showed up completely crate-trained, but didn't know any other commands (I tried English, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Vietnamese) and why she is missing a rib on her right side. We figured that the evil scientists were going to put a window in her side to be able to better see the effects of who-knows-what on her innards.
