Parvo!

I was feeling really lousy several days ago. I spit up on the floor, I didn't want to eat or drink anything, and I just felt like laying around. The next morning my guardian took one look at me and called the vet. She took me and my brother Charlie in, and boy oh boy was I ever sick. I had parvo, the 3rd case that day in the vet's office. The vet gave me tons of shots, including one in my tummy, WHICH I DID NOT LIKE. She gave Charlie a shot in his tummy too, and he liked it even less. Charlie wasn't sick, but the vet thought he would probably get sick pretty soon. We do everything together, and I mean everything. I had to go to the vet everyday for three days until I got better. The people working there were all stressed out because they had so many parvo cases, new ones every day. They were running around with buckets and mops and bleach water cleaning up after every dog.

But I'm a healthy boy and my family takes good care of me and I got better quickly. Elfie, the 5 year old chihuahua, had a fever one day, and Charlie threw up a few times, but neither one got really sick. Now we're all healthy, and my guardian says she is so happy that we are not DEAD! Wow, she was scared. I was too sick to be scared. But you know what they say: if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger. I lost some weight but now I'm back to my normal self, and I guess that's why my guardian calls me "Chunky Monkey". I'm glad I have my brother, and all my internet pup pals, because no puppies can come to my house or my yard for a year, to be safe.
