Arrival Story:
My husband and I couldn't wait to get a dog after we moved into our first house. We already had 3 kitties, so we didn't want a large dog. Watching dog shows, our favorite pups have always been the corgis. When we were ready to begin our search, we explored both Cardigans and Pembrokes, but the spunky Cardi was our first choice. All of the pieces fell into place when we found out the Cardigan breeder had a litter of 4 black and white puppies, all male, who would be ready for adoption in a few weeks. The timing worked out perfectly for us, and we brought home our little pup. For the first few weeks, he was so tiny... but long... he looked like a toy. Now he might be full size, but you can still see the puppy in him. He's a great dog.
He has a slightly crooked tail which makes him ineligible to show, but his gait is as proud as any! He has done well in 2 obedience classes... although the herder in him is always aware of everything else going on around him, sometimes it's hard to keep his attention... unless we have goodies in hand, of course!
