long time no bark

wow, its been a long time since mom let me on here to post anything. things have been pretty much the same here as always. mom has been really busy with school and its been cold out so we don't go to the park too much these days.

dad took us on a long walk the other day though and we ran into uncle dave and lucy. kodi got to run around the park with lucy but i still have to stay on the long lead because mom says i run away. honestly though, i'm not running away. i'm just checking out the dumpsters behind the grocery store for any goodies. i would come home eventually. seriously.

i think kodi is the favorite because he gets to go outside for a long time with mom every day. mom says its because she's running and i won't run that far and that i am her 'cool-down' dog. she does always come back and take me for a nice walk by myself but we're not gone as long as when she takes kodiak. but then again, i don't have to sleep in a crate when mom and dad are gone, so maybe i'm the favorite after all.

lazy day

well my face finally stopped hurting and the swelling went down. it felt weird at first to have an empty spot where my tooth was. but mom soaked my food in water so it didn't hurt to chew so much. and now i'm all better!

i tried to pretend i was sick again last weekend when the rescue run was, but mom made me go anyway. we all had to walk a really long way. and it was hot out. luckily there were lots of buckets along the way and even some little swimming pools for us dogs to splash in. and mom got free ice cream. but she didn't share it with us.

i'm so glad the weather is finally nice out! mom takes us to the park more often now that its getting warm. except that its rained lots lately so we haven't gotten to go. mom says maybe tomorrow... i guess i'll just spend today napping instead.

grumpy grumpster

mom took me to the vet this afternoon. they gave me some medicine and told mom to bring me back on thursday. they're going to pull two teeth!! ouch. i didn't like it when the doctor kept poking my mouth trying to look at them. *sigh* i guess it will be nice to have them not hurt anymore. it makes me grumpy. but mom has been really nice lately because she feels bad for me. she didn't even pick on me when the vet said i'd put on five pounds. but she's probably going to make me go on a diet. :(

No... not the doctor!!

Mom says I have to go to the vet tomorrow. I guess that is a good thing because then my tooth will stop hurting, but mom says they're probably going to have to pull it out so its going to hurt even more. Its the same tooth that hurt when my foster mom found me. I just had to take medicine that time and it got better. Mom says she doesn't think we'll be so lucky this time. Hopefully that nice lady is working and gives me a treat before they pull it out. She's real nice and knows just how to scratch behind my ears.

Last time I went to the doctor's I got a treat and I didn't even have to do anything. they put Kodi up on the table and poked him a lot but I just got to watch. Then we went to the park. No park today though because its real rainy and Mom has to study for a big test. I guess I'll just go back to napping on the couch.
