Birthday: July 1st 2000 Likes: catching dog treats, licking his sister's ears, going on car rides, talking to us Pet-Peeves: none he is really good-natured Favorite Toy: his football Favorite Food: what isn't? He's not crazy about french fries Favorite Walk: Marymoor off leash park in Redmond, the Tolt river in Carnation Best Tricks: dancing with daddy, chasing the laser light, he can say "I love you", he "talks all the time Arrival Story: Maxi, our 13 yr old Standard Schnauzer was dying of liver cancer. He was so slow & he had gone completely deaf, but he liked walking. We took him for a short walk on our property on 7/1. It was warm out & Max needed a rest as we got just over the hill in front of our storage shed, backed by 40 acres of woods. All of a sudden, out of no where this frantic puppy came running to us all licks & wags. He was alone & we had no idea where he had come from. He covered us with frantic scratches and kisses. We took him to the house to clean him up and to feed him, he was so hungry! We were stunned becaue taking care of a puppy is so completely different from taking care of an old deaf dog. See Ginger's bio for the rest of the story- Bio: He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he is so goofey and lovable he has been a great friend and companion. He is a long bodied dog with huge feet suitable for digging vast holes. When Barney gets excited the little white parts at his mouth & nose trun pink, the more excited he is, the pinker he gets- it is so cute! Forums Motto: Are you gonna eat that? The Groups I'm In: Cute Puppies!!!

Hello all! I am Barney the happy go-lucky guy, a ROOROOROO. My moma is fretting because I have to go to the vet on Friday this week & have a syst removed from my lower eyelid that is about an 1/8" big. I have to go to sleep for the surgery too so it is a bigger deal now, because I am going to be 7 pretty soon & surgery can be hard on us older guys. The syst has been there about a year & it didn't really bother me at first, but it has started to grow in the last few months & is constantly in my eye now. At first she took me to our usual vet, a sort of a coop group that gives cheap vaccinations about an hour from our house. But when they told Mama that I would need to have eye drops for ever after my surgery, Mama got concerned because I have to have some of my eyelid removed to make sure the syst doesn't grow back. So moma found us a new vet closer to home & who has had lots of experience in treating eye issues. I don't care what it looks like when the doctor is through, but moma does & Daddy too. Daddy said that it doesn't matter how much it costs because I'm his boy! Boy I love my Daddy~ ROOROOROO! Moma said I am going to get my teeth cleaned too while I am under too, wow it will be like my day of beauty or something! I am so special & so loved!!! ROOROOROO!!!
