Arrival Story:
Norton came to us as a puppy from Bravehart, a very responsible breeder in Medford, Oregon. He was adopted after much begging by his older adoptive sibling, Max, who wanted a puppy in the worst way. Shortly after he was adopted we rescued Smokey, and Norton immediately took to the old man. Smokey was Norton's ever-indulgent grandpa, and Norton tormented him as only a grandchild can do.
Bio:
Norton's dad is Jeff Ward, a fierce defender of off-leash recreation in San Francisco. Norton is a goofy boy--he has never quite grown up. In his younger days he liked to scamper through the house, leap over the sofa, and some to a screeching halt in the middle of the living room with an "ain't I cute?" expression on his face. Norton is a dreamer, which makes obedience training a challenge. Sometimes when Jeff puts him into a sit/stay Norton's mind wanders off and he doesn't even notice the release command. He obviously has a rich inner life.
