Sometimes they wanna walk me before THEY go to bed, but I've already been snoozing, so don't wanna go. Sometimes I win, but not always.
Favorite Toy:
Just one? I love my kitty... and my squeaky ball...and my Sponge Bob...and my bones...and stuff I'm not s'posed to chew up...like Danny's slipper...or Melanie's baby rattle...oops!
Favorite Food:
I like my Pedigree wet food in the morning...and my Pedigree dry food at night but only if Mom puts gravy or broth on it. I like all kinds of treats...and pig ears...and sometimes Dad brings me home a yummy REAL bone...that's my favorite.
Favorite Walk:
I only like to stay on my own street but sometimes I'll let Dad take me down to the schoolyard.
Best Tricks:
Well, my sister (human) gets me to sit for a cookie. Sometimes she even gets me to "shake-a-paw". The grandkids love to see me do these "tricks" too, but I put my foot down with Mom. I only do them once in a while for her...when she least expects it. ;o)
Arrival Story:
I was born in Kentucky and was bred for hunting, but since I didn't LIKE hunting, they were gonna "get rid of me." A real nice lady named Peggy, rescued me though. Whew! Was I ever lucky!! She lives in Indiana and does coonhound pup rescues. She was awesome and kept me for about a month. Then another terrific lady named Jodi, took me under HER wing for another YEAR. She does rescue work too, also in Indiana. Well, she got in touch with ANOTHER fantastic lady named Blair, who ALSO does rescue work. Thank God for these wonderful people!! Blair's rescue is in Massachusetts. Now, if you've been following along, you'll remember that that's what state I took up PERMANANT residency in, cuz my Mom and Dad were looking for a dog...and after a long search....cuz they wanted just the RIGHT dog....they found ME!! Oh, what a glorious day that was!!! I was sooo scared and shy...well, I still am, but now I bark...sorta mixed with a howl, of course...and Mom had to scold me for growling at the cable guy yesterday and the oil guy today. Wellll heck....this is MY house now and I've gotta protect it!!! I love it here sooo much and only have to work at keeping Mom and Dad under my thumb (they're easy ;o))It's great to meet everyone here, especially Rowdy (but I'm NOT!) cuz he and his Dad invited me here. I think I'm gonna like it here, too!
Guess what!? I went to the vet 5/2/07 and gained 11 lbs!! She said that's super and I now look PERFECT!! AND I'm in great health. :D
