We're back...Well Kinda..

It has been a very very long time. Mommy has been really busy at work, and I have had a tough year too. Right after we left Dogster in 2008 I started to get sick. I got to the point that I could barely walk and Mom and Dad were really scared for me. I had TONS of x-rays done, and it was determined that I have Wobbler's Disease. Surgery was not an option for Mom and Dad so I was started on medications immediately, and did GREAT!!! Mommy was so thrilled. I was doing amazing and even gained weight. I have always been a skinny guy and never weighed over 135#, but I gained 15# and am up to 150!!!!

Then when Mommy thought everything was going great, the worst thing ever happened. I bloated!!! Mommy realized what was going on and rushed me to the vet. Mom and Dad were both crying like babies thinking they were going to lose me, but thankfully the vet was able to save me. My recovery from surgery took a little longer than expected, but once again I am doing well.

After all this I am doing great. I celebrated my 4th birthday in October and hopefully nothing else bad happens to me.

Taking a break, who knows...

Its official, Mommy thinks we need to take a break from Dogster...

Dogster has changed. People aren't as friendly, and even when we do post in the forums we rarely get answers. Heck, even when I posted about Lennon's birthday I got absolutely zero replies...

We try to be nice and help other pups, but it just seems like everyone wants help but most (not everyone, we do have a few good dogster friends) wont return the favor....

So we're gonna take a break..will we come back? I don't know. I will leave their pages up for now because our plus isn't up for renewal until January, but after that I'm not sure...

Mommy's getting a new car!!!

After months and months of problems with this car Mommy and Daddy have finally come to a conclusion..Mommy will be getting a new car!!!!!! Daddy had to sell his truck when he went to Europe so Daddy will be driving Mommy's old car, and Mommy gets the new (used) car.

I havent even told you the best part yet...the new car..is a CONVERTABLE!!!! I cant wait. I get to go see it tomorrow so Mommy can see how well I fit in the back. I fit in the old car just fine, so even if this one isnt big enough we'll still have the old car.

I can see my ears flappin in the breeze now...BOL

Mommy is having another bad day..what do I do????

So Mommy is upset right now, for the last 4 months she has been without a car. Its not that she doesnt have a car, its that her car has issues. Mommy had it fixed last year, but the people that fixed it didnt fix everything. So the same problem happened again. When she took it back (it is under warranty) to get it fixed again they told her it was something else and thinking that they were going to fix both problems she said go ahead. Now she's got her car back, but they only fixed the new problem and not the warrantied problem. Mommy is really mad. They said in order to fix the warrantied problem they would have to address why that problem is happening, which they say is mommy's engine; they say she needs a new one. (whatever that is...) Mommy doesnt believe them because her car is a 2002, but now that she's spent 1500 dollars fixing the computer (which she thinks didnt need replaced in the first place) she's kinda broke!!! Now she's stuck with a car thats still not fixed and she's fighting with the repair shop to get the other stuff fixed. ARGH!!! When she's frustrated it makes me feel bad, I wish I could help her. Right now i'm just sitting here next to her and she's scratching my head. I hope she feels better soon....

Funny story...

Mommy was reading the "picket line" thread and was reminded of the funny situation when i lost my "boys." So Mommy thought she would share. I'll let her tell you the story..

Lennon's Mommy Here, this story still makes me laugh.

When Lennon was younger I worked at Banfield. One of the perks for working there was free Wellness Plans for my pets. When I decided I was going to quit working there Lennon was about 7 1/2 months old, and I decided I would go ahead and have him neutered (free neuter vs. $400 neuter hello?!?!?) So I brought him in and drew his blood and put him in the kennel. I went to run his blood and heard someone crying. I walked back to his kennel and the other tech was sitting in his kennel (open ofcourse) crying. I asked her what was wrong and she was sitting there saying "how could I do this to him and he was just a puppy." I kind of shrugged it off and went back to what I was doing. I came back 15 minutes later and she was still sitting there, but this time calling me a bad owner for doing "this" to my dog, and saying that she wasn't going to let me have him neutered. At this point I lost it. I looked her straight in the face and told her "Your Psychotic!!! He's a 85lb puppy, yes he's still a puppy, and he's not your dog. In case you havent noticed he belongs to me, and he's getting neutered whether you like it or not..."

Later that afternoon she quit. I felt bad for yelling at her, but at the same time..HELLO!!! He's my dog!!!!!!!!! I just thought I'd share Lennon's neuter story with everyone.

"annual vet visit"

Today I went for my first official "annual" vet visit!!!! It wasnt too bad really. I dont know what the big fuss is.. I got poked with this needle, then got 2 things stuck up my bum (ahem...wrong way lady!!!!) Then I got to sleep for a few hours in my kennel while mommy cut some doggies hair..That was interesting. Mommy did something called handstripping (?!?!) to my buddy Felix the Brussels Griffon, then she trimmed Chase the Yorkie, and a couple of dogs I dont remember.....

Then the boss (AKA the vet) came back....I thought I was in for it, but all she did was look me over and she poked me with 2 tiny needles...Not too bad at all...

Mommy said next year I only have to get one shot because I got a 3 year rabies..whatever that is... all I know is that I got plenty of good treats and kisses from Mommy for being such a good boy.

If every vet visit is like this I think I might want to go more often..except for the needles ofcourse...

Human Children..

I hate to see my Mommy struggle like this. My human brother who is 3 1/2 is driving her crazy. He wont listen and deliberately does things after Mommy tells him not to....Mommy seems upset because of this. He just sat and told mommy that he hated her. I know he's only 3 1/2 and I know he doesnt know what it means, but Mommy almost started crying... Why is he so mean to Mommy. She thinks its because he misses Daddy. Mommy has tried to tell him that Daddy will be home really soon, but he is still really mean to Mommy..Sigh..I better give Mommy some extra licks and hugs tonight...

Plus..

Mommy finally broke down and got Dogster Plus, YIPPEEE!!! I've only been telling her its extremely important that I have it since forever ago.

R.I.P. Mr. Moose May 2006 - December 2006

This just in, late breaking news, I have very recently decapitated my favorite stuffie Mr. Moose. After minutes of heartache doctors said there was nothing they could do surgically for my dear friend, and I let him go to stuffie heaven peacefully. However, I being the clever boy that I am, managed to save Mr. Moose's body for my further experimentation. I'm trying to figure out why exactly I loved this toy sooo much. So in conclusion R.I.P. Mr. Moose, although I will miss you; Mommy assures me that I will have a new stuffie under the christmas tree in a few days. Mommy also said something about the new stuffie looking very similar to you. I dont know how I feel about that. Mommy wanting to replace you so soon after your passing. I will be ok, trust me. In the mean time I will milk it for everything that its worth. I will take pictures of my new stuffie as soon as he arrives home!!!!

I'm bad about this thing...

I'm bad about writing in my diary. I try to, I really do but I get busy. Things have been going good for me. As many of you know I had an incident with a turkey neck on Thanksgiving thats got Mommy wondering even more about switching me to raw. She's busy doing all kinds of research and hogging the computer all the time. If anyone has anything they want to share please feel free. Mommy says I have to get off the computer now, she says its her turn. All I know is that if all this computer time results in me getting to eat more things like that delicious turkey neck I'll be more than happy to let mommy spend all the time she wants on the computer.
