Arrival Story:
Our beloved mutt "Licker" had died and left our purebred yellow lab ("Buster") all by his lonesome; answered an ad to adopt a two-year-0ld yellow lab mix from owners who couldn't handle her in combination with their other dog.

Bio:
Sasha passed away on 13 June 2008 at 5:00PM. She was 17 years old (give or take a few days). With few exceptions, she insisted on living outside all day, every day. Even with an nice warm igloo, she sometimes made her own burrow in the snow in winter. When we moved in 2007 to Virginia, she walked the fence surrounding our lot, nearly 24 hours a day, with the only interruptions when the mockingbirds that lived in our grape arbor divebombed her. She lost her hearing the last year or so and gradually went downhill. She is missed, especially by my son's miniature Schnauzer (Spike).
