MY HEALTH

With Rascal going to rainbow bridge and mommy nannying for a family in the area at times, it seems she does not have time to allow me, MY DOGSTER TIME!. GRRRRR~ I love her! She is my mommy.


Okay so the not so happy news! Mommy took me back into the vets for the itches and scratching and chewing and you guesssed it anything that I should not be doing. Since we've treated everything else, and nothing worked....we are finally treating allergies. I have allergies, my friends. To what? Well, unless we do allergy testing, we'll never know but the Dogtor even said, that is not fool proof and my allergies probably will never be cured. So we are guessing it's food allergies and allergic dermatitis, which I think is just another fancy word for environmental.


I'm on prednisolone every other day. I also at the moment take Hydroxyzine 2x a day. I have to have dermcaps put on my food and I get to start a special food, soon. Mom is not happy about it, as she does not like to support the company but she will give it to me. I'm going to be eating z/d formula.

Now brace yourself fellow doggies, I'm not allowed any HUMAN FOOD, ANY DOG TREATS, NOTHING. Now I do think this is very unfair I'm a PRINCESS, didn't they get the message.

She has to wipe me down 2x a week with water, roxie says not a good idea! she has special shampoo that can be used every 2 weeks, and some special spray which I run from.

now friends, I need your help. Since mommy is making me follow the dogtors (vets) orders. Will you convince her to get her low blood sugar checked out, she is avoiding this and my pals....I love my mommy but I can't do it without your help.


Mommy says, there is probably more, but will do it later. As this doxie has to go for a walk.

what i want for Christmas

I've been very good, at times I have cause mischeif but it was in the nature of exploring and seeing my surroundings. I would love a bully stick and stuffies that squeak. I would also love some clothes or hand-made blankies to keep me warm.

very sick

i'm very sick. sicker than what my mommy thought i was. i have a kidney infection and have to take clavamox! mommy is crying as she types this. she can't even finish.

another update

well not even 3 days after seeing the dogtor and getting a shot. I got worst. Turns out an insect too a plug out of my body. Not literally but it means it bit me. I started swelling almost all over my body, I had red blotches on my body. I didn't want to eat or chase squirrels. I was told to take benadryl and prednisolone!

Pups as of August 9th, 2007 I'm starting to feel better and back to being a roxie doxie.

i was sick and i'm getting better

well, pups. i had to go to the dogtor today. see both of my ears started swelling up for know reason at all. you know the flap area. mom started panicking and i was like, it's not a big deal mommy. she called the e-vet and they said, to watch it but it should be fine to just call your vet tomorrow. mom woke up and checked on my ears. they were 4x the size they were at 5 p.m. on friday the 26th. she placed a call to the dogtor and well they said to come in. mom brought me in and they shaved my ears a little on each side.


OUCH! YES! I SAID SHAVED MY EARS! I HAVE BALD SPOTS ON MY EARS!

I'm so not happy. They thought I had liquid in there and it felt like it. no liquid came out and i was fine. but I had to have a shot of steriods and now on benadryl for a few weeks.

i tell you, i'm not a happy doxie.

I'm going to love tag Sammi This family makes mommy and me laugh no matter what time of day or night it is. They make us pictures and brighten our lives up. We are happy we've gotten to know them 'cause our lives would not be the same without them in it.

I'm going to love tag Buddy He is one of my bestest buddy's on dogster. He is a pawsome mayor. we sometimes im back and forth. His mommy is a true friend.

Now it's time to tag Morgan His fur angel Griffy and him are friends with my mommy on myspace and facebook, they are so sweet. I would love to meet Morgan one day, may be I'll convince mommy to take me to visit them one day.

week 2 of training

I went to training last night. I was really good! My homework for this week: To work on the Unpredictable walk and automatic sit. Practice sit/down, sit/stay, down/stay. To start learning attention or "the name game", pick a release word and mom has to do home exam/massage (basically poke and prod me).

I'm so excited! I'm on my way to hopefully being a Canine Good Citizen and starting agility.

Diary of the Day!

wow! it was such an honor to be named diary of the day on saturday! thank you, head quarters! it made my day.
we will give everyone a thank you that gave us rosettes/stars and emails. mommy was just so overwhelmed...she will work on it for me. But for now, we are very thankful for all the pretties we received...

Update: on training: I finally got down! yes, that's right...this doxie will do down now. I will do it on hard surfaces and for dog treats (not just human food)! I'm so excited, my tail is wagging so fast!

week 1 of training

well pups, mom thought the first week was going awful. she cried and cried, saying I'd never get down. Guess what? She found out, I'll do anything for chicken hot dogs. No not my kind. A doxie would never eat herself. But I do have to say, I went down very quickly to get that hot dog bite. We are working on sit, down, sit, stand. So mom has her hopes back up that I will pass obedience school. Of course, I will. can't believe she ever doubted me!

I'm doing the canine cruise with mommy and daddy. we are going to come from Boston to do the cruise. we can't wait to meet dogsters.

There is this big bathtub looking thing outside that mom calls a pool! She said "Roxie Doxie, you are going swimming"! I say, no I'm not! I know she will win this arguement...she has a life jacket and a bathing suit for me! One night Spuds, mommy put me in the jacuzzi and mom allowed it. She thought it was funny! Funny, my doxie tail, it was not funny at all!

I'm having fun visiting Spuds but I keep trying to take his treats. I'm a doxie after all, I LOVE food!
