Likes:
She love going on walks, playing with other dogs (male dogs), chewing on bones, dissecting stuffed animals, destroying tennis balls, getting treats, playing tug of war, belly rubs, more belly rubs, taking long naps in the sun, and any kind of food!
Pet-Peeves:
Sophie absolutely hates the mailman! She usually doesn't get along with other female dogs, she always seems to get into an argument with them. She also does not enjoy taking baths or wearing her gentle leader :)
Favorite Toy:
She doesn't have one because she always destroys her toys, her oldest toy is a Pluto stuffed animal that no longer has a face, she still enjoys playing tug of war with it though!
Favorite Food:
To her food is food, she eats everything we give her, including vegetables!
Favorite Walk:
Anywhere where she can meet new dogs, or get pets from people.
Best Tricks:
She just graduated from basic traing so she knows sit, down, stay, stand, heal and around. We are also teaching her how to fetch a frisbee and she's starting to catch it in mid air! Bringing it all the way back to us is another story.
Arrival Story:
We were about to move into a house of our own, so we could finally get a dog. We went to an adoption day for Rocket Dog Rescue in San Francisco and instantly fell in love with Sophie, who's name at the time was Sophia. She was just so cute and wanted so much attention, especially belly rubs. We were suckered in by her sweet personality, she was just so affectionate! Pali, the founder of Rocket Dog informed us that she found Sophie at a shelter in Sacramento a few months earlier on doggie death row (Rocket Dog only rescues dogs who are about to be euthanized). Due to a lack of foster homes, she had to put her in boarding until someone adopted her. We took her home that night and were very pleased to find that she got along with our cat, Madame Feathers!
Bio:
We really have no idea what different breeds she has in her. Most people say pit bull, but some say boxer, and some say lab. Your guess is as good as ours!
