Arrival Story:
My previous dog was in her twilite year and I knew that when she died, I would be frantic to find another dog. I decided that spending 3 months doing research online was better than buying a dog after my dachshund died so I found Noodle. I found her on a breeder's website as a full adult at the age of 5 ready to be retired. This little gal has had 6 puppies which truly explains the gentle quiet loving nature she has. She will approach children of all ages (unless they are the aggressive kind) and simply wants love. Nothing makes her happier, and thus, nothing makes me happier to give her a home where she doesn't have to compete with any other Chihuahua for affection. She's my bud. And she'll be your bud too for the simple price of one butt scratchin'.

Her breeder is located around the Fresno, CA area. Toyville Chis. They primarly breed Chihuahuas for show so you won't be able to get a puppy from them. Only retired adults.

Noodle, I've never truly understood the fragility and beauty of life until I met you.

Who knew we humans could bundle so much love inside a four pound package?

We were great together, and I'll never forget that.

I finally had my mammary tumor surgery and I'm happy to report I am bouncing back into health faster than anyone expected.

My self esteem is still intact, even though my obnoxious tumor and two *ahem* nipples were removed. I won't miss them anyway...I still have a lovely belly to rub :)

Thanks to everyone and their concern. I couldn't have done it withoutcha.

I'll be up for new Xmas photos soon... once my stitches come out!

Hi all.

We didn't have the private message thingamajig set to email us when a note came sorry to those of you who wrote asking about Noodle's surgery.

Well. As of this date she hasn't had her surgery because a weird and very expensive medical issue came up and I want to share it with ALL small dog owners.

Stairs and your dog. You think they've mastered them. Beware.

Noodle was the mistress of the stairs. She could proudly go up and down them even though they were almost as tall as she was. Each step was carefully taken by her discriminating little feet.

One day I came home from work and I noticed she was acting funny. This was Dec 21st. I remember this date because the holidays were in full swing. She was wimpering and shivering and wouldn't move. After a precursory examination I couldn't find anything wrong so we rushed to the emergency vet. After a substantial bill that only included pain medication, we left without much help. The meds made her loopy but made her seem better. Monday rolled around and since the meds didn't "fix" the problem, I took her to our normal vet.

After xrays he determined that she had a pinched nerve in her neck between her shoulders. Nothing I could think of could do this so I am going to assume she tried to come down the stairs one day, slipped a step and pinched a nerve.

PEOPLE. Please don't take your little dog's mastery of the stairs lightly. Poor Noodle was out of commission for 4 weeks. She had to be confined all day(poor thing HATED that) and at night, she was in a box with a pillow to restrict movement. The drugs helped her heal by relieving pain, but it was a long long expensive process.

Becareful out there! If you can bar your dogs from going up the steps (like I do now) and take them up and down yourself, you've save yourself a lot of heartache.

As for her surgery to remove that mammary tumor, that's on hold until we get enough money. That pinched nerve wiped our doggie savings out temporarily. But don't worry, Doc says it's not hurting her and it isn't growing.

Noodle sends her love. She's back to her spunky self!
