What a Birthday Present!

Today is my birthday, and what did my mum do? She went out and rescued another dog! Sheesh! Don't do me any favors! I don't mean to sound unsociable, but, well, I am sort of. I've always kept to myself (I meditate a lot, that's what bodhisattvas do), and I DO already have two doggie sisters. But mummy says he is fifteen years old, has cataracts so he can't see very well, and he was turned in to the pound by his "owner" and he was very depressed there. She also says he doesn't have to stay, because he will only be a foster, and she is going to try to find him a home. I'm not going to hold my breath, though, because, first, it isn't that easy to find a home for a fifteen year old blind dog, and second, I've seen how my mum "fosters." Right. Lily was supposed to be a foster. Ginger was supposed to be a foster. Now they're both family members (although I must admit, I, too, have grown quite fond of them in my way, especially Lily).

Anyway, I guess I'll be meeting him tomorrow or the next day, after he is neutered. I'm sure my sisters might have a different take on the whole situation, and I understand they might be writing their own diary entries about it, so you can read theirs and make up your mind.
