 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: December 18th 2005
Likes: Trying to eat sticks, acorns, tree bark, rain and more rain, puddles and more puddles running as fast as I can through puddles and trying to drink the rain and drinking out of the puddles, playing with big sister Molly and tearing apart every stuffed toy

Pet-Peeves: Being outside alone and being told to "leave it" (especially when I am getting to drag Molly around by her collar)

Favorite Toy: Grace's Pink Bunny, the spare pink bunny, squeeky balls, rawhide chews and whatever toy I can sneak outside and anything that may be in the hamper

Favorite Food: Pup Corn, Peanut Butter, Steak, Cheese (really anything you might want to give me)

Favorite Walk: Doesn't really want to be outside because his sisters are inside and I am not really fond of the leash, but I will be!

Best Tricks: Laying at Mom's feet while eating or preparing meals. I now can sit, lay down, working on "leave it" but do not like to heel

Arrival Story: Poor puppy was in a cage that was too small in a pet store and was reduced to move him out (I could not leave without him) It was horrible place but now he lives in a wonderful place with lots of toys that squeak and collie sisters to play with and friends that come over and play in the yard.

Bio: I am a little rough with other dogs, especially sister, Molly. In time I will calm down. I have to get over this biting ears thing!

Forums Motto: I am going to get that toy away from you

Final check up was on Thursday. The doctor wasn't so sure things were healing the way they should be the last time I was there, so I wasn't expecting good news. The doctor watched me walk (more like a fast trot down the back halls pulling my Mom behind me). The doctor was very impressed with my ability to trot. I still do bunny hop around the backyard, that's how I go really fast! No x-rays for me this time the doctor said we aren't going to do anything with my right hip as of now, seems to be pain free and the left hip is stable, sometimes a little pain if I do to much. So , for now no more surgery. I am going to play with my sisters and keep healing and now start giving my Mom some trouble!

The cone is off!!!! I can't believe that I can finally be free!!! I lick the incision but I don't bite at it anymore. I really want to run and play, but they still won't let me play! I get time outs if I try to run after Molly and bite her neck, I really want to play with her! She brings me toys and bones and I take her blanket, then I get put in the crate, again.
I threw up again last night. It' s my Mom's fault she gave me some treats after I took my pill (she forgot). I fell in the kitchen a couple days ago, cause I was trying to chase Molly and I spun out. My mom was really worried but I got up and went to the den and layed on my blanket, I try to do to much and then I don't feel so good.
I go to the doctor next Thursday for an x-ray to see how things are healing. Hopefully everything is going ok. My mom found a couple of staples the doctor missed taking out last week, I guess I have that and the x-ray to look forward to (not going to be very nice visit to the doctor)
I just threw up again I guess Mom is going to have to put me back on Pepcid.
Everyone is really happy that I am eating out of my bowl again, I really liked being hand fed, everyone got so annoyed when I would wait for Mom or Gramy to feed me, I really enjoyed that!

My mom took me to great big hospital far away from home. We saw other dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets and even fish! We met with two special doctors. They were very nice until...they started tocuching my hips. Then it wasn't so nice. They explained that there were two options. One being a "salvage" effort meaning they could make the pain go away, but I wouldn't have normal function in the hips, but I don't now (still lead a happy life, just with limited range of mobility). The doctor said he wouldn't know if he could do a TPO (Triple Pelvic Osteotomy, which would give the best possible range of mobility with running and jumping in time) until he could take another x-ray and quite possibly not until he got in there. We all thought my left hip was the worse one, but actually they are both about the same. Mom took me home and we thought about it and we scheduled the surgery for the following Monday.
We went back up to the hospital on Sunday afternoon for check in and I was very excited, I threw up in the car! It was a good thing I threw up, because I ate my Gramy's curlers that morning, she was very mad. My mom told the doctor that I ate curlers and I think they were a little shocked. Anyway I got a special collar and leash from a nurse and we went to look at the fish and I got my "room" , I didn't even say goodbye to my Mom! The next afternoon the doctor called my Gramy and said that the TPO was finished on the left leg and I didn't have any more curlers come up! The next two days were a bit blurry and on Wednesday I saw my Mom & Gramy. I was very happy, except for the very large cone on my head and the very BAD haircut, the pain meds were great!
My Mom tried to take the cone off my head but I want to lick and bite the incisision soooo badly! So the cone stays on. I won't sleep in my crate, I don't want to be alone. I guess Mom was mad after about an hour of whining, crying, chortling, slapping the cone against the crate and everything else I could think of to do for someone to come get me, she came and got me!!!!!!!!! Now I get everything I want and I don't have to cry at all. All I have to do is slowly lower my head and give everyone sad eyes, that's when I slowly lower my eyelids and peek up at them. They put me on the bed and they take me off the bed, they hand feed me, I get special treats, I have my own down comforter! Life has been very good, then they took the pain patch off!
