Arrival Story:
My mom can't live without dogs but my dad hadn't been owned by one since he was a kid and is allergic to many breeds. So when Mom came to live with Dad, they searched for a breed that wouldn't make him sneeze, and finally decided on a Standard Schnauzer.

Bio:
Meanwhile, in the next state over there I was--one of three pups in a bottle-fed litter, rejected by our biological mother. The breeder who reared us kept my brother and sister, but decided that I would be better off in a new home. So when I was just under a year old, I came to live with Mom and Dad. We sure make a happy family!

New baby coming!

Last year Mom and Dad got married, and this year we began planning to expand our family. A new baby, and we're hoping it's a little sister for me--a Pharaoh Hound sister. Mom and Dad went and met the breeder and her dogs (I had to stay home, pout pout) and now we're on a waiting list for a pup from a breeding next spring. We're all really excited; I think a Pharaoh Hound will make a great playmate for a Schnauzer!

Legitimate at last!

Mommy and Daddy finally got married last month--about time, don't you think? After all, they adopted me almost a whole year ago. Now the other dogs on the block can't make fun of me for being illegitimate any more. Yay!

The wedding and reception were at the house, and let me tell you, this place was absolutely crazy for about a week before the event. People coming and going, daddy finally cleaning his desk, poor Matthew slaving away washing windows and sweeping the driveway. They were lucky they had me there to make sure everything was done properly!

Since I don't really like crowds of humans very much, I kept an eye on the kids and big humans playing outside on the day of the wedding. I even got written up in the newspaper wedding announcement! "Telly A., dog of the couple, supervised outdoor activities."

I'll tell you what, weddings provide some really good benefits and I think all dogs should encourage their humans to have them at home. We ate leftover prime rib and champagne chicken for a whole week, and it was great!

Sniffs and slobbers to all,
Telly

Yesterday my daddy and I entered the Dog-Owner Look-Alike Contest at Bowling Green's Third Annual Bark in the Park, and we won! We've always had matching beards, and for this event Dad donned a pair of pointy latex ears to give us a little edge. Got a blue ribbon, a tasty bone and a brand-new squeaky toy as a trophy. It's my first big win in the ring.

Gray power!
