Happy Birthday my sweet Angel

I miss you my big girl. This is your first birthday at the Bridge and I still miss you so much.

I miss the talking and scuffing you do to get my attention.

I miss you being the pillow hog and sleeping on my head and slurping the pillow.

I miss the way you would chase Starr around the house and tell her what to do.

The house is just so quiet without you.

It still just doesn't seem fair.

It has only been a month and a half and I just miss you so much.

The funny little 'Shana things you did'.

The funny way you used to scuff your back after 'doing your business'.

The way you used to tell Starr what to do.

Even the slurping of the pillow at night next me when I was trying to sleep.

Post Op Surgery

Well it has been 2 weeks and I am slowly getting better. I feel like the bichon that I am is slowly returning. The hardest thing for me (and for my mommies) is staying calm and still. No running or jumping, which means I am always either a) in a crate or b) leashed to a person or thing. I can walk only for take my potty breaks for about 5 or 10 minutes and even with that I have to walk slow and sit a lot (to strenghten my hips). I go to the vet tomorrow to get my stiches out and maybe then I won't have to wear this stupid collar thing.

My trip home from the hospital

Well I haven't had a great week. Last Sunday I was playing at my favorite doggie park with my pal Scooby and I ended up tumbling with a little Maltese (I think his name was Rocko) and I hurt my leg. My mom's thought it was just a strain, but after a few days it wasn't getting better. To make a long story short I went to 1 regular vet and a special ortho vet and I tore my ACL. Friday I had surgery. Had to stay overnight. Now I am home with a bald chicken leg and am very very sleepy. My mom's have pages of things we have to remember over the next 6 months. The biggest thing now is just short gentle walks for 5 minutes for the next 3 weeks. Right now I haven't left my crate. Barely eating, just a few treats. The medicine patch they gave me is knocking me out. My mom's say this is a good thing as I need to rest. I hope I become myself again, cuz right now I don't feel that way.
