Arrival Story:
I was going for my normal morning walk when this puppy came running up to me, and then he ran right back out in the street. There was a school bus coming so I called him to try to get him out of the street so he would not get run over. He followed me home, and luckily my husband was not working that day so I rang the doorbell and he came out to help me. He did not have any hair on his stomach or legs and his skin was discolored. We did not know what was wrong with him. We called a couple of no kill shelters but they were full. So we took him to the vet to see what was wrong with him and found out that he had mange. So the vet gave him his shots and we were given some pills for the mange and 400 dollars later we brought him back home, sprayed the yard, and seperated him from our other dogs. That day I looked at him and he looked so miserable, and just pathetic. I thought we would have served him better if we had him put to sleep. But a few weeks later he began to heal and his hair grew back and he was just absolutely gorgeous. I would never have thought he would turn out to be so pretty. We found him a home, but the person we gave him to could not handle him and she gave him back to us a few months later. So we kept him, as not to move him around anymore.
