Arrival Story:
In l998 a lost Cocker Spaniel adopted my son and me. He had been left in a storm and the people that found him called him "Stormie". We decided to change it to Sammie for various reasons. For awhile he was very aggressive and would bolt out the door any chance he got. He would run up beside cars and jump up and look in the window to see who was there. I know in my heart he was looking for his previous owners. We learned to guard the door every time it opened and with time he began to stop running after cars looking in the window. But anyway, we loved him really fast!! At first I really thought of him as my son's dog but then it didn't take long before I had a shadow with me every time I left a room.
