Arrival Story:
We drove up to Price, UT from Mesa, AZ to pick up our new Yorkipoo puppy (Xena) at the breeders parents house. They had Odie and were trying to fine a home for him before the sheriff came to pick him up. Cliff was unable to care for Odie and had him tethered outside most of the time and he was barking constantly. Neighbors complained so the sheriff notified them they were coming to take the dog to the pound. Odie was so cute we just could not resist him and he bonded with Xena so well so instead of one pup coming home with us we had two more furbabies for a total of 5. The sheriff arrived 10 minutes after we left to take Odie to the pound. Thank goodness we Adopted him. Price pound doesn't keep dogs very long and most of the time they promptly euthanize them on arrival. :o( We are so very Blessed to have Odie as a much Loved member of our family.

Bio:
Odie is a very loving, fun little guy who wants to please us at all times. He is the old man of the pack. He is Xena's protector. He is all Daddy's boy, oh he loves Momma too but it's hard to get to Momma with Xena hogging Moms lap, Tinkerbell hogging her right side and Charlie pestering everybody. Now that he is older he is happy to disappear in our bedroom all by his self either on the bed or under it, but when he hears us in the kitchen he is right there at our feet waiting for a hand out or something to fall that he can catch and gobble down!!!! GREAT set of ears!!!!!! December 2, 2008 we came home from the grocery store to find Odie laying by the door crying. He tried to walk to us as we entered and was unable to use his left front leg. He tried so very hard and kept falling on his chest hitting his little nose, chin and chest. So I hurried and picked him up and checked his leg and shoulder, laid him down on the couch with a blankie on him and hurried and call the vet. We rushed him in and Dr. Mathis wanted to keep him there that night for x-rays, blood work and try to find out what was wrong. It broke my heart to leave him-I had a very bad feeling watching him get examined, especially when Dr. M did a pain/feeling test on the left front leg and Odie did not react. His leg was paralyzed and no feeling. I cried all night long. First thing in the morning December 3, I called Dr. Mathis there was no change in Odie. Not all the test results were back yet. But he was alert and so very happy to have some attention by the techs and Dr. We could pick him up at 5 pm. 4pm Dr. Mathis call and said Odie had a severe stroke. We was giving him medication the same as humans get when they have strokes. The next 12-24 hours were critical. He had to stay in the hospital another night. Odie was now totally paralyzed on the left side. My heart sank. December4, 2009 while I held him and we told him how much we loved him and what a wonderful good boy he was Odie made his final journey into God's Hands. I miss and love you so my Little Man. We made a trip to America Fork and took Odie to be cremated. His ashes will be buried with me when my time comes to cross the bridge. FOREVER in my Heart.

I've Been Kissed!!!!!!

I've Been Kissed by the Jewsbury Tzus!!!! And I am joining them in celebrating national kissing day and hoping to spread some snogs your way! As all of us are footloose and fancy free (none of us are courting anyone) we thought we would spread this tradition to EVERYONE!

So if your one of the lucky ones to recieve our snogs (we're only allowed to give out five each) we would love it if you could spread the snogs to other dogsters....LETS HAVE A SNOG FEST!!!!

Happy kissing day everyone and remember to give your mum, dad and siblings a whole load of snogs!!!

To celebrate the 13th annual National Kissing Day, its founder Denplan commissioned the survey to ask people to name their top three favourite screen kisses. Second most popular rated kiss was the Disney classic Lady and the Tramp, where pampered pedigree pooch Lady shares a surprise spaghetti kiss with loveable rogue Tramp (36%). In third place was Swayze again, this time with Jennifer Grey in the 1987 blockbuster Dirty Dancing as they kiss in public for the first time (35%).

Swayze's still got it

Swayze was the clear favourite with the females surveyed, who voted Ghost (50%) and Dirty Dancing (43%) as their top two. The star of both blockbusters, who turns 56 this year, clearly remains a heartthrob for many.

Surprisingly more in touch with their feelings than previously given credit for, men voted for Ghost first (40%), Lady and the Tramp romped in second with 36% and one of the greatest romantic tragedies of recent time, Titanic, received 33% coming in third.

Oldie but not a goodie

Unexpectedly, classic films Gone with the Wind, From Here to Eternity and Breakfast at Tiffany's all ranked low in the voting at sixth, seventh and tenth places respectively.

However, these still remain the favourites of the over 65's, whose top three screen smooches were Lady and the Tramp (40%), Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler's tempestuous kiss in Gone with the Wind (36%), and Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr's classic beach clinch in From Here to Eternity (36%).

Creator of the first National Kissing Day back in 1995 and Denplan Managing Director, Stephen Gates, said: "We created National Kissing Day as a fun way to raise the profile of dentistry among consumers so that it had a connection with everyday life and not just six-month check-ups. While oral healthcare is a serious matter impacting general health, being sombre about it doesn't necessarily always get the message across. National Kissing Day is a great opportunity for people to kiss their loved ones and remember the importance of oral healthcare; we hope everyone will be doing that today."

I've Been Tagged by Amazing Gracie!

Hi, Everyone!

Guess what? I've been tagged again by my one of my friends~Amazing Gracie. This tag is a little different, so I think we'll all have fun with it. I hope you all do!!!

Everyone who gets tagged tells three things they've done to help dogs, or any furbaby. You list them in your diary, then tag/pawmail seven friends and tell them to go to your diary to see how it's played. (Lots of you pups and pawrents have done a bunch of good deeds. We really don't do a whole lot at our house as we think back on it).

Well, here goes mine!

1) A real cute Minature Schnauzer unexpectedly showed up at our house. So we called her over and checked her out gave her some water and made sure she was okay and safe 'N sound in our back yard till we could find her pawrents. We noticed that she had a companion retrieval tag and so we call them, when they gave us her pawrents address we tried to call them but there was no answer (the retrieval service could not reach them either). So Daddy walked her back home and saw that she had escaped from her tie out so he put her back where she belonged. They probably never realized she was missing and almost hit by a car cause the retrieval people and her pawrents never did call us back. We see her once in awhile when we drive by their house.

2) We went over to our cousin's house to help her deliver her puppies after she had spent the night in labor and the 1st one was stillborn. We were able to help her to deliver the 2nd puppy but the 3rd one was huge and China was too tired to deliver him~so we rushed her to the Vets and he delivered the 3rd and a stillborn 4th puppies. Then we made sure their humom (Kimi) had puppy formula and a bottle to supplement the 2 surviving pups feeding and how to help China care for her pups. Those puppies thrived and are now in loving forever homes.

3) We donate to ASPCA and other Shelters/Pounds when we can and have adopted pets from them as well as taken in abandoned dogs or till we found their owners or new forever loving homes.

I guess we need to do more~that really doesn't sound like much!!!!!

Enjoy playing the Game!
