That little Zaidie pup has been at it again. He was reading in Zoe's diary about barking at the cows and horses. She mentioned how I liked to do that too. I sure did like to watch those kitty cats though.
That Z. is such a talented little guy. Here is the little poem he wrote just for me.

Watch out fur hair balls :D

Thank you Little White Dog. Be good, I'm watching you. ;-)

Please pray

Mom just heard from our favorite rescue people. I lived at their house for over a year while waiting to be adopted. Please pray for a miracle for Ron.
Here is a part of the email Mom received.

We found out on Dec. 7 that Ron has a brain tumor. We have been in SLC month of Dec., Jan and part of Feb. Finally home and enjoying being here. He went through 33 treatments of Radiation and Chemo. Will start Chemo again on Monday for 5 days on, 21 days off. Trying to shrink the tumor as it is inoperable. So we are praying for a miracle. I just know that God will answer our prayers… Sure never expected this one..

Sorry I didn't get back on here to thank you all for the nice messages and pretties you put on my page. But I do want to thank you all for noticing me and my diary pick.
That little Zaidie pup knows I liked the kitty cats and he sent me the pink rosette. I got busy watching the kitty cats inside that rosette. You might want to take a look but only if you have some time.

Pals, if you get a chance, could you visit Muffin's page?
I met her here at the Rainbow Bridge a few days ago. She is a very sweet little girl.
Her Daddy is missing her something terrible. Maybe you could send a pmail or leave a pretty on her page.
Thanks pups!

A New Day

It is sure pretty here at the Bridge. I had heard other pups barking about how nice the Bridge was. To tell you the truth, I didn't think I would make it. I was just an old, herding dog that never much wanted to herd. That's how I went into foster care for nearly a year. I had been tossed around from ranch to ranch to men who thought they could make me work the cows. When I didn't, they sure got mad at me.
They were sure nice to me in foster care. They didn't care at all that I didn't want to work the cows. I could relax and nap in the sun. Then I hurt a back leg real bad. Had to go to the dogtor for that. Soon after that the arthritis started. It wasn't too bad at first. I could still get around just fine. Then I got adopted into my furever family. We went on walks. I could watch cows and horses and never have to herd them. Actually, I remember once when I did help Mom put two calves back into the pasture. She didn't know the right words to say but that was ok, I knew what to do. They had kitty cats to watch too. I learned to love to watch those wonderful creatures.
It was a wonderful life. The folks didn't bother me, they let me watch the horses and such. I could keep warm in the winter and lay in the shade or sun in the summer.
My legs were getting worse and worse. I was getting wobbly. Mom put all kinds of stuff on my food to help my legs be stronger and not hurt me so much. Some of it worked at first, then it didn't seem to work. She tried other stuff. I was even on a prescription pain killer thing. All of the stuff just kinda quit helping me.
I would slide, you know, my back end would give out. I wound up on my Kelpie bum more times than not. I had a hard time coming up the back stairs so I learned to wait at the bottom. Someone would come and help me up. I started to bunny hop. It was hard to stand up after I had been snoozing.
I was always a quiet, no complaining kind of dog. The folks thought I was in much more pain than I was letting on. I would whimper. Once or twice Mom would hear me outside, giving a big "ouch" sound.
So Dad and me took a ride yesterday. The vet was nice. Told Dad I probably had arthritis and hip displasia.
Everything kinda went dreamy and then dark. When I came to, I was watching Dad put something wrapped up into a hole. Mom was there and she was crying something fierce. Dad put a bunch of dirt into the hole.
Then I heard my name being called. Ever so softly at first, then louder. The voice was calling me, telling me to come on. I always did have, what Mom called, selective listening. Finally, I turned to the voice and went toward it.
It sure is pretty here at the bridge. I am going to check out what they have around here.
Please don't feel bad that I am gone. Mom is feeling bad enough for all of you put together. In fact her eyes are all leaky again right now just typing out my story.

You know what would be real nice? If you would, maybe you could make a donation to your local shelter. But only if you want to.
You know, for one of those "in memory" kinda things?
Here's where I came from in case you want to go right to the source.

I am going to go look around. I hope there are kitties, cows and horses I can watch.

Wheelbarrow

I have bad back legs. A long time ago I had ACL surgery on my back left leg. Now the arthritis is coming on with a vengeance. Both of my back legs are weak. It's hard to stand up after I have been laying down. Sometimes they slip and slide out from under me. My back end is wobbly. My front end is strong! I can get around pretty good all by myself, thank you very much.
But sometimes I can't make it up the back steps. I wait until someone sees me, well, waiting. They come outside and help me up the steps. It's kind of like the kids playing "wheelbarrow". Remember seeing little kids on their hands and some other little kid lifting up their legs? Then the little kid uses his hands like feet and off they go.
That's what I look like now coming up those back stairs.

A photo shoot with goodies

I don't like to have my picture taken. I look away. I put my normally stick-up ears down flat on my head. So it was weird that Mom got down on the floor with me and piled goodies and some photos all around me. I knocked stuff over and tried to get into one of the sacks of goodies.
The reason I got in on the photo shoot was that our pals, Wrinkles and Ebony sent us some Bit-O-Luvs from Texas. The little Zoe dog has been barking lately about Mom not being able to find any around here. That Wrinkles and Ebony are the sweetest pups. They have a herd of kitty cats I sure would like to watch too.
Anyways, I was inside and the other dogs were outside so Mom set up the photo shoot with me. At least I didn't get up and leave. I even got to have a fresh out of the bag Bit-O-Luv.

Thank you Wrinkles and Ebony for being so thoughtful. I will be sure to share the treats with the other dogs.

Thank you Anonymous for hiding that pretty pink egg on my page. It looks great!
I hope that little Easter bunny will leave you some nice treats today.
Me, I might try to herd that bunny.
