Homemade toys!

A week or so ago, Mommy came home with some new toys for Drover and me. They were a big tiger and a big leopard. They were shaped the same. Whiskers came off first. Then I went to work on the earhair, got that gross stuff off of 'em both. They were fun. Drover and me decided to play tug a war with them. The leopard was the first to split apart. Mommy sewed it and cut it in half. We had a head and front legs and the rear end part to play with. The tiger is still here. We haven't got the stuffing out of him , yet.
Mommy is tired of having us destroy toys so quickly. She said it is getting too expensive to keep us in toys.
So Mommy said she would make us some toys. Using tougher fabric would surely last longer.
Cool, she just handed Drover a round soft thing and I got a long floppy thing.
No problemo! Drover got a nice whole started in his round thing. I got the stuffing started coming out.
Whoops! Mommy just said she is never gonna buy or make us another toy! That round one just went in the trash! What a waste.
This could be bad - no more toys? Ever? Yikes, I guess we just pushed the envelop.

Ch-ch-ch-ch-chia!

The other day Drover and me had to get hairshrinks. *Sigh* We got out hair shrunk real short for summer, so maybe we won't have to go back to the groomer's real soon.
I was getting pretty fuzzy before my hairshrink. When I would walk in tall grass and weeds, little seeds and stuff would stick to me. Mom told the groomer that I was going to be sprouting into a Chia pet! The groomer got a kick out of that.

Today Mommy moved the furniture around so I can't see out the window as well. I can't get boogies on it, either! Drat. There are a couple of spots I can sit and see out the window, at least.

Oh yeah- outside, there's a little house near our yard, but in it's own little yard. Well, it's been empty for a long time, but a few weeks ago, Mommy started working in there, moving stuff in and out. She took some peeping boxes into the house, and when the boxes came back out, they weren't peeping but the house was! Mommy says she bought some baby chickens and turkeys. Drover and me aren't allowed to go into the little yard now.
Sometimes we can see little... things moving around in the yard, and we have to bark at them! Mom says we don't need to bark, but I think we do! I've gotta keep everyone on the alert around here!

Aw man!

Hey pups, sorry it's been awhile since I last wrote. My family hasn't written anything for me in forever! They put an entry for the tag game, but that doesn't count! I'm not sure why, but it doesn't!
Sister's started college, so she's gone half the day, and spends most of the other half doing homework. She's always saying she's busy when I try to get her to write in my diary. Mom and Brother are always saying they're busy too. Hmph. Then, Daddy's at work during the day, so there's nobody around to write for me!
Anyway, this morning I didn't feel very good. I didn't eat all my breakfast, then I went outside and ate some grass. After that I felt better and wanted my breakfast, but no! Mommy said, "You'll just have to wait, Zoe. Breakfast time is in the morning, and you didn't eat all your breakfast." So, I'm hoping I don't starve and collapse in a limp heap before tomorrow. Mom is making some more treats for us, so maybe I'll get her to give me a whole bunch.
My day ain't going too good. It's real windy, and I don't like the wind. I asked Mommy to turn off the wind, but she said she wouldn't. She gave some lame excuse about how she can't control the weather. Hmph.
I need a new background and cursor on my page, too. These that I have now have been on forever! I get bored when I look at them.
Everybody's being mean at me today, and I don't know why! I'm not asking for much. All I want is for somebody to write in my diary, give me some food (maybe a strawberry milkshake), find me a new background and cursor, and stop the wind! Hmph.

Bright and Early, on the job!

Busy morning from my lookout spot on the back of the couch! Three different groups of people went walking or jogging by about 6:30 to 7:00 this morning! I have got a lot of barks in me when I am on the job of security!
I am Schnauzer, hear me bark!
I am not sure how long I may be able to keep my back-of-the couch-at-the-big-window lookout. Mommy told me she may need to move the furniture Again! Something about summer and brother and sister may want to sleep in.
Yesterday I watched while Mommy and Brother took turns riding a noisy blue thing in the front yard, where I am not allowed without my leash on. That thing looks fun to ride on, I could ride on Brother's lap.

I pulled a sneaky on Mommy. She got each of us dogs yummy bones the other day. They are kinda messy so they are supposed to be outside bones. HA! One at a time I have been sneaking them inside! They are all in here now! Sister did toss one of them back outside, it had little ants on it. I barked the ants off and brought it back inside! Hee hee.
Back to my chew bones, Pups!

My new lookout spot!

My mom is the greatest! She moved the living room furniture around yesterday. Now I can sit on the back of the couch and look out the big window! I can see cars and trucks and people and birds and dogs and way over there some sheep. And besides seeing all these things I can Bark at them all! I am good at barking. Security patrol- that's me.
When the family was moving stuff around, they were shaking their heads at Mommy. They know how seriously I take my job.
A bonus is that I can put lots of little Schnauzer boogies on the window!

Yay! I'm a diary pick of the day! Thanks Dogster! It's such an honor, and thank you to all my loyal fans who helped me get to this place today. Without you, I would still be...um...

A Stinkin' Stupid Idea

I am a very generous pup when it comes to giving away our Dogster rosettes. I can't wait until we get a new load at the end of the month. I like to guess what the special monthly rosette might be.

Mother says that I am hogging the rosettes! I am not, I love to give them away. I like to give them to my pals and sick dogs and dogs that have gone to the rainbow bridge. She has come up with a stinkin' stupid idea for me to share them with the other 11 pets around here. That's only like 2 for each of us and one left to fight over. I am the baby of the family and I deserve more than every other pup or kitty.

My family is too cheap to buy me more zealies so I could get stars and rosettes to give away. I mean, Daddy and my human brother and sister have paychecks and they won't share. Mommy says she uses the money to buy us food and toys. Man, I haven't had a new toy in months and Drover tore that one up anyway.

Maybe I can give the rest of the rosettes away before anypet notices. I will have to be sneaky because somebody is always on Dogster or Catster around here.

Finally!

I've been bugging my family for the last week to write in my diary for me. They always said they were too busy, or they forgot. Hmph. Well, I finally got Sister in front of the computer to type for me.

Well, first of all, my guestbook isn't working! At least it wasn't a few minutes ago when I checked it. The pictures and map aren't showing up. I'll have one of my humans figure out how to fix it. Thanks to everyone who's signed my guestbook! I love looking at all the pics!

The other day, I was nearly killded! I went running back to Mommy and Daddy's bedroom and jumped up on the bed like I usually do. This time, though, Mom was cutting up one of Daddy's old shirts, and she nearly cut my beard off when I jumped up there!

There's something weird going on around here. A few days ago, Mommy was doing stuff in our old chicken house- moving things around, sweeping it out, that sort of stuff. Drover and me were able to go in the chicken pen and help her out. Now, though, Mom says I can't go in there! I don't know why. She goes in there a lot, and I just want to help her out! She said something about "chicks" being in there, and she doesn't want me to hurt or scare them. I keep telling her that I wouldn't hurt them, but she still won't let me in.

Goin' to work!

My pal Jelly was barking in her diary about how her Mommy took her to work with her. My Daddy and Sister work- I want to go to work with them! I was thinking about ways to make working lots of fun!

At Daddy's job, he fixes big army trucks and vehicles. The area he works in has a big concrete floor. He has a chair with wheels on it, and some flat things he lays on and rolls under cars. I could get on those, and go zooming around the room! It'd be fun! There's also a big mechanical hoist-type thing. I could get Daddy to make me a harness, and go up and down and around the room on the hoist! I could also crawl around in the army trucks

Sister cleans buildings at her job. At one big building, there's an elevator. I would ride up and down in it. I could also get lots of stuff out of the vending machines. Sister and her co-workers use carts to pull their cleaning supplies around- I could ride on one! There's also a cool little forklift that's in one part of the building and I could drive that around! Oh yeah- today when Sister was cleaning, there were some balloons in one room, and a sign that said "Happy Birthday". I think somebody's going to have a birthday party on Monday! I want to go with Sister then, and get some cake and ice cream! Everybody would think I was so cute, they'd give me some! Boy- this'll be exciting!
