So there I was, on My Love-Seat-Look-Out. I saw Sissor pullin in in her lil white SUV-mobile.
Yippee! I love it when Sissor comes home for the weekend! Really! She plays with me and I like to watch her when she stuffs all her dirty clothes in the washer.
I asked Mommy to let me outside so's I could greet Sissor at the back gate.
Here she came. She had her backpack thing with her laptop. She had her laundry basket of stinky stuff.
And she had some other sacks.
When she got inside, I cuddled up next to her feet, her hobbit-slippered feet. She gave me a noogie on my cute lil noggin. And then she started showin me what was in the other sacks.
Stuff for me! Sissor had gone to Petco, 'specially to shop for me. She had 'bout 8 new squeaky toys. She had 'bout 8 packages of good and tasty but healthy treats. And a new pink floofy collar and matchin leash. She told me she would take me for a walk later and I could wear my new things then.
Then in another sack she pulled out a fun Mr. Spock outfit for me to wear. She knitted it herself. There was a black cap with pointy ears. And a blue sweater top. I would be rockin the Spock look when I wore it! I sat still while she put it on me right away.
Then she wanted to put her stuff in her room and get her laundry started.
When she had done that, she came out to fix us sum tea. I would like to have Earl Gray, hot, please, SissorDear. You know, like Capt. Picard drinks on Star Trek: The Next Generation show I love to watch.
She said of course, Zoe-woey, PreciousPup. Anything you want, just let me know.
When the tea was ready, we sat down together on the love seat. We snuggled up, cause we love each other and we are real touchy-feely.
Then outta her knittin bag she pulled out a surprise. Sum purdy pink yarn and knittin needles. She was gonna teach me to knit! Fun! She said the pink yarn was just sum left-over from all the other pink yarn she had from other projects. Pink is her favorite color too.
As we drank our tea and Sissor showed me how to do the cable stitch, I glanced over my shoulder.
There was a herd of cows moseyin along the road, poopin in our grass.
I had a sip of tea and turned back to our knittin lesson. Drover started to read aloud from The Canterbury Tales.

"Zoe, Zoe. Wake up. You must be dreaming," I heard Mommy say.
I sat up with a start. I shook my fuzzy head to clear the cobwebs out.

Dreamin? More like a nightmare if you ask me!
Yikes, no more of those lil black beetle guys for snacks right before bedtime.

A nightmare....that sounds like a wonderful dream to me--particularly the part about the toys. Of course, the costume would not have been acceptable to me....I don't wear clothes.LOL

Well, yeah, it did start out good with Sissor bringin me toys and treats. But things just went weird with the tea and knittin.

BOL, BOL, BOL! You had me hooked at first. I really was beginning to think that you Sissor turned over a new leaf and went from pocket lint to Petco. It came to a crashing haul when you quietly put on the Mr. Spock outfit. "That is not Zoe", I thought. You should tell Sissor your dream and she might feel guilty.

Oh you are a funny one Zoe! Momma was reading your diary to me and I was sitting her wondering why you were so happy to see Sissor and what had gotten into her that she would even think of getting you pressies or even knitting you something. Of course the ending summed it all up - BOL, BOL

Sissor is purdy cool, really. She helped with sum of the ideas for this diary entry.
She is a good Sissor, she just doesn't know how to give pressies. Bol!

And I must add, I would never read aloud from The Canterbury Tales. Too bawdy for my taste. I might read Moby Dick or A Tale of Two Cities.

Oh Zoe, you are sooo funny! Mom and I laughed so hard and I barked a long and loud one. I was gettin so excited for you when sissor gave you 8 new toys, wundrin which one you would choose first. Mom liked the knittin part, cause she is just startin to crochet....pleasant dreams!!
