Duty berfore breakfast

Always on guard duty. Yep, that's me.
Tux always finishes his breakfast first and goes outside. I eat my breakfast and go outside.
This morning, I was eating. Tux was outside when he sent off the alert. Sumfin was going on out there. I needed to get out there to give orders.

I still had several mouthfuls of food in my dish But I Didn't Eat Them.

Now I have been known to grab a mouthful of food and run outside. Barking with my mouth full. But it is a muffled bark.

This was the real deal and I needed FBM (Full Bark Mode).
I just took off. No food in my mouth.
Barking at full throttle.

My food dish had been picked up when I came back in a just a second or sumfin.

Walking with army boots

I am my Daddy's girl. I am his helper.
Daddy is fixin to leave for a couple of hours or weeks for his annual trainin for the National Guard. He got sum new boots for his trainin time. He put those boots on this mornin and said, "come on dogs. You are gonna help me break in my new boots."
Me and Tux went for a mile and a half march with Daddy. I didn't see the boots get broken but maybe that will happen sum other time.
Happy to help Daddy with any jobs. Maybe we can go for another walk later to break the boots.

Enough already

Hmm, maybe Sissor did really bring sumfin when she got home yesfurday.
It has been rainin. A lot. Too much. It's still rainin today and of course our wind has started.
It is yucky outside. How is a pup 'spected to be a "good dog" and go potty outside when we get soppin wet just standin on the top step?
We did manage sumhow yesterday. Daddy found poops in unusual places. Under the lilac. Real close to the house. Places that were kinda outta the rain.
Evfurrytime we go out and come in Mommy grabs a towel to dry us off. And then she mops up the wet spots on the floor that our wet feet make.
I wonder if Notme may show up and potty in the basement. Ya never know but it could happen.
