Arrival Story: Mommy and Daddy were looking for a Mini Schnauzer, so they visited me and my litter, Mommy sat down on the floor, and I came over and gave her a big kiss! And Daddy said "There's your new puppy!" And the rest is history!
Bio: I have a sister named Cindy who doesn't talk much and doesn't like to play with me very much, but we like each other. I also have a brother, Drover who plays with me a lot. He takes my toys, though, and that makes me mad. He's not too bad, though.
I get reeaaalllyyy excited when Daddy gets home from work and I like to run outside and sit at the gate and wag until he comes in the yard, then I roll over and he rubs my tummy! I like to sleep on my princess pillow. When I go on walks by the river I like to smell where bunnies were, but I can't ever go chase them because I'm on the leash. There are porcupines there too, but I can't chase them either. Sometimes I get really excited and go running up and down the hall and I bounce on and off the couch like a bunny.
Forums Motto: Lovin' life!
I have no concept of time but I know that my human sister has been gone. Could have been 8 hours or 8 days or 88 days. I dunno but she has been gone.
But she showed up in my yard today. I was very excited to see her. I did a funny little low crawl when I saw her and she called to me.
I got very excited after that and Daddy told me to get the zoomies so I did.
After I calmed down and the family stopped laughing we all came inside.
Now everything is just like it used to be. Wherever she has been, shopping at Wmart was what she wanted to do. Of course she didn't bring me anything back from her shopping trip. Nothing has changed about that. Oh yeah, she brought me some pocket lint. Whoopee.
Now some of the family has gone for a walk to look at the river. Does the cute little loyal Schnauzer get to go? Oh no. I had to stay home.
Maybe tomorrow she will shop again and bring me something good. Or take me for a walk. She never has before but there is always time to start a new habit.
Mr. Smarty Pants Drover says she is only home for the weekend and has to go back to work to where the buffalo roam. I think her job is to faithfully turn on and off the big famous geyser. She is good at her job and got a promotion as soon as she started working.
You would think she could bring the cute little Schnauzer something with all that money she is earning!
Mommy cut some of Drover's hair off today. Then he got a shower.
We both got our nails trimmed while we were outside.
It was getting later. I didn't think Mommy was going to have time to groom me.
Wrong. She started late this afternoon. She got one side of me clippered.
Then Daddy got home.
Gotta go now Mommy. Catch ya later.
Well, she did catch me later. Finished the other side. Daddy even monkeyed around with the clippers on my ears.
After they had supper Daddy brushed me. Then Mommy carried me into the shower.
Boy, I got the zoomies after that. I got the zoomies and was rooting all over Mommy and Daddy's bed. tee hee.
I got the zoomies in the living room. I had the zoomies outside. Then I rooted in the grass.
I put on quite a show for all the peeps. They were laughing and I just know they were amazed at my cuteness.
That kinda made up for being doomed to be groomed.
It seems like there has been a steady stream of new dogs here at my house on "test drives" lately.
First there was a big girl that ran over me and scared me. She went back to her foster mom.
Next we had a big boy Australian Cattle dog that at first tried to get all of us dogs rounded up. We let him know we didn't like that. But when he wouldn't leave our kitty cats alone and finally took some fur off of Georgie's rear end Mommy realized she didn't know how to take the "heel" out of the heeler. He went back to the foster mom.
Mommy took him back but brought back another boy dog in the same trip.
His name is Tux. He is about Cindy's size. Mommy calls him a miniature black Lab.
We are all ok with him being here.
He has a few quirks.
He plays wrong. Me and Drover like to run after the Jolly balls outside and then play keep-away. Tux only likes tennis balls. He runs after them and Brings Them Back and releases them to have them thrown again. And again. And again.
And I can't get him to play fight with me. Mommy tells me he is very laid back and gentle. She says he just plays differently than me and Drover.
And his barker must be broken! He hasn't barked since he got here last Monday!
But he must be staying. He got a cool new Lupine collar, the New Wave design. And he even got a name tag.
There is hope for him yet. He is not without some naughtiness.
The dirty laundry basket was sitting at the top of the stairs waiting for me and Mommy to take it to the washer in the basement.
He took out some of Mommy's undies and was tearing them up when he was discovered.
I just know I can teach him to bark!
