Wow, December brings some really interesting things! Mom put up this indoor bathroom in our living room & hung lots of pretty, shinny things on it. I've been trying to touch them to see what they are but got told to stay away. I licked them when Mom wasn't looking but they don't taste like anything. Bummer. She's also been in the kitchen a lot making cookies, which is great because I get to eat whatever drops on the floor. I got a new Christmas sweater that I'm not too thrilled about. I'm supposed to wear it this weekend when we go visit someone called "Santa Paws". That should be interesting, I think.
Grandma & Grandpa came up to see us. Grandpa has a perfect belly to sleep on during the day & Grandma is really nice to sleep with at night. Mom & I were sleeping in the little bed but she kicked me out because I took up too much room. That's why I got to sleep with Grandma in the big bed. G&G brought Mom & me an electric fireplace to help keep us warm. It's great fun to watch the lights flicker! I was very sad to see them go home, but Mom says we will go on a long car trip soon to see them again.
It got very cold outside & this stuff fell from the sky I've been told is called "snow". I don't really care for it much. Especially since I only like to poop on dirt & couldn't find any without snow on it. I also caught a cold & was very sick for about a week. I could hardly breathe through my nose since it was all stuffed up. Mom tried to give me something called a pill everyday but I wouldn't have it. Instead, after I ate my real food I got a piece of chicken with something round sandwiched inside of it- tasty! And Mom thinks she can give me medicine & I'll just take it - HA on her!! However, I'm completley better now thanks to the vet & Mom taking good care of me. Everyone we know was worried about me & super happy when I got better. It's good to be Queen...
Well, I need to stop now- people to meet, things to do...
I wish all of you Happy Holidays! (whatever that means)
Love, Miss Suzie-Q

It's been a busy summer for me. In July we went to G-ma & G-pa's in Grants Pass. What a great place! They have a HUGE front yard that I got to run around on with my Boston "sister" Priscilla. She sure barks a lot- but boy, can she run! The best parts of the trip were sleeping in late with mom, neighbors coming over to meet me & most especially, the de-luxe food toppings! G-ma gave me risotto, fresh parmesan cheese & French bread. G-pa even snuck in some ice cream. Mom got mad at them when she had to make my walking harness bigger. I don't know why. Now it's back to ho-hum milk on my morning dog food. Bummer.
I was "fixed" in June & without mom for a whole 24 + hours! Everyone at the vet office was very nice to me. I got cuddled & carried around before & after my surgery. They liked me so much there, they didn't want me to leave, but I couldn't wait to get out of there. Something I don't like about that place, I can't put my paw on it...
Mom & I had my Boston buddy, Sly over for a week in July. It's nice to have another dog to pester every morning. Sly doesn't like the sound of fireworks going off. He gets really shaky & can't move- it takes a long time to calm him down. I know because mom & I sat with him for hours. What a wimp! Mom said it was nice to have Sly over but only for a week. Says she can only handle one dog at a time inverse-sneezing & taking up room in the bed at night.
In August everyone here at work were running around like dogs chasing thier tails. Sly said it was because there was a big show soon & the humans had to have everything perfect. he said that during the show there are LOTS of people who come in to fuss over us dogs- he was right! I love meeting new people. Especially our Uncle Don who brought us each TWO toys!. My favorite was a stuffed duck (intended for Sly). Sly's favorite is a colored stuffed barbell (intended for me). Uncle Don ROCKS!. G-ma came up for two weeks & instead of going to work everyday I got to stay home to sleep in with her. Auntie Jen stayed with us too- she has the BEST hair to play with! August was a good month.
Labor Day mom brought me to the off leash area of Marymoor Park. I tried out the river. It's OK, but nothing I would go out of my to do. Especially since going into the river means a BATH when we get home. NO FUN. I did make friends with Eddie & Jake at the park (Boston's). Their humans seemed interested in meet ups so perhaps I will see them again. I got a really great new toy- Earl the White Trash Rubber Chicken- see the new photo! I was able to de-squeak him with lightning speed. He is lots of fun to shake around. Last weekend, mom started to drape fabric over me & measuring me. She says that G-ma is going to make me a rain coat. I don't know what "rain" or a "coat" is, but I don't think I'm going to like either one.
I'll try and get mom to update my diary more often. I wish I could type & navagate the web on my own!
Oh well, until then, Miss Suzie-Q

Well, I'm almost 5 months old now; Mom said it was OK for me to use the computer, so I figured I'd work on my first diary entry.
Life is pretty good so far. I get to go to work with Mom every day (don't tell anyone- dogs aren't allowed in the building- those meanies!) I sleep in Mom's bed (although she tosses & turns too much for my taste). Mom takes me just about everywhere she goes (but they won't let me into a certain warehouse store where you can get a bucket of peanut butter if you so desire-they know who they are. Get this- I'm allowed into the GROCERY store as long as I'm in my portable dog-house bag, but not into that place, go figure). Lots of people know me by name (I have a large fan base) & Mom pretty much gives me what I want, when I want. Especially if I make my eyes big, brown & watery, then tip my head with ears up just so. Who could ask for anything more, be that dog or human or even cat for that matter?
The people I run up to & jump on say that I am a very friendly, socialized puppy. That's probably why I was asked to do a photo shoot for an article on puppy socialization. I'm in this months issue of City Dog magazine! (Available at finer dog stores here on the west coast or you can order it online if you google it. Check me out in it! I look fantastic! I'm a superstar! If I see you at the dog park I might even autograph it if you ask nice. :) Mom now threatens to find me paid photo gigs. She says it would be nice for me to contribute to my kibble and vet costs. What- EVER! I'm too cute for work, but not too cute to be popular! A girl can never have too many friends. By the way, my next public apearance is this Saturday at the Boston Terrier Meet-Up in Magnuson Park. (Nothing like a little free publicity for all the Boston's out there).
Well, since I have these paws, not fingers like Mom, I have to make her type for me. I've noticed it's cutting into MY playtime, so I will sign off for now.
Until next time-
Snorts, Toots & Kisses!
