Rescued from pound.
Bio:
Abby was severly abused by her previous owners. We were told she was a "yard dog" with many many other dogs. She had to fight for her food, protect herself and had already had a litter of pups when I got her at 1 year old. We don't know what happened to the puppies. She came home with us in 2001 and for the first 8 months or so she was afraid of every little noise and sudden movement. NOW, she is still a little jumpy but is well loved and makes me laugh. She has also graduated from doggie "special ed" (for dogs who have had trouble socializing). She can now sit, down, stay (when she wants), come (when she wants), "leave it" (for a longggg time) and heel.
