Lice?

After I came home from Lunar and Phoebe's house, I was really itchy. Mommy had a look, and said I had something called "lice". Then today, Mommy took all the cushions off the chairs and floor, vaccumed like mad, then gave me a bath. I DON'T LIKE BATHS. Oh well. At least I'm not itchy any more.

A bigger back yard!

Neighbour Shirley has chickens! I think they are soooo fascinating. Last year I learned how to stand on my back legs and wriggle through the wider upper squares of the farm wire to go visit her chickens. I really was just visiting . . O.K. . . . maybe a little chasing happened, but I wasn't going to eat 'em, honest.

Then, a couple of weeks later, I managed to go visit our side neighbours Great Dane, Diva. I had lots of fun running in circles around her and barking. When she chased me I got a little scared though. Boy her legs are long!!!

Well, since then, unless she is with me, Mom has made me stay mostly in our little back yard fence. Hmmmph. There are three wonderful acres to play on and I get stuck in a back yard!

But lately strange things have been going on. Mom and Dad and my two biped bros took away the backyard fence. Down came the wire and out came the posts. I think they did it just for me! What a riot. I can check out the ducks in the swamp. I can sniff bunny trails. Rocky and I can run and chase forever.

I thought maybe one more chicken sniff was in order. I non-chalantly found my way over to check out that farm wire fence . . . and it was different! Try as I might, I could not get through. What's up with that!?!

I passed!

I passed my dog training last night. It was fun. I got top honours, meaning that I got the best grades in the class.... meh. I was getting bored anyway. I did like those sausage treats though. *sniff sniff* Hmm... Is that sausage? It is? SAUSAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

A whole year old today. I am so excited. Mom took me for my birthday check up to the vet, all by myself., and I looooove car rides. Rocky and J P had to wait at home with the two rambunctious bipeds. They were very excited to see me when I got back, and we had a romp around the yard. Then our poodle friend, Gizmo, from next door came over and we really had some fun. After supper Mom served us each up a birthday meatball, and mine had a candle. Just a tip . . . candles aren't as good to eat as the meatballs.

Ha ha!

Busy didn't get our new coats yet, but she found one in the closet for Rocky.

Snow!!!

Snow!!! I love snow. It makes me so excited that I run in circles and bound around. It begs me to dig my face in and fling it in the air. No water bowl for me . . . I'll just go lick some snow. And the mouse trails. YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE THEM ! ! ! J.P. likes snow too but Rocky is not so impressed. Busy is going to get him a coat, and maybe one for me too. I bet mine's going to be hot pink. I looooove hot pink.

Get Some Dignity Will Ya!

O.K. This is for all those dogs who just drop everything, instantly, to come when they are called. You really need to finish whatever you are doing first. Sniffing the air, generally meandering about, or checking out what is around the corner, are all very important things to complete. If you hang back long enough, you may even get your caregiver to play chase, or a give you lazy ride home up in their arms! You really are your own boss. GRAB SOME DIGNITY!!!.

Busy bought me a real live fuzzy walking chew toy for her bithday! I really love Busy.

A Surprise is Coming

Busy told me a secret. She says her birthday present is going to be for me too. She’s been on that computer again a lot, looking at I don’t know what, and talking to people on the phone. Noisy and Squeemish seem to be excited too. Anyhow, Busy says we get to go on a car trip on Friday and then we’ll get our surprise. I hope I like it.
