I love to dig!

I have a big backyard with a fence, so sometimes when I need to run, mommy lets me run around the whole yard! Today she put me on the chain though, and left me out there with my bone and water, I had no company, so I started digging in the sand pit. I found an old stinky rawhide the dogs who lived here before me had burried! WHAT FUN! Mommy came to the door in her bathrobe to check on me, and then she screamed! I had to have a bath after that, something about being muddy.

I'm sad today :(

Mommy shook her head at me today as she picked up my last toy..my pink moose from Petsmart (got it for Christmas) After she picked it up, it disapeared. Mommy says she's going to bring me some new toys today when she and daddy get back from the store.

Daddy has been working a lot lately, and we dont get to spend very much time with him anymore...it makes me and mommy sad. Yesterday was supposed to be his day off, but the boss man called and said he had to work and didn't have a choice.....so today is daddy's day off, but he has to spend all the day in bed! *cry* mommy won't let me go wake him up either.

I think I'll just lay here on the floor most of the day and pout. I got in trouble the last time I went to the bedroom and barked...sheesh...can't a dog express herself?

Walks at Shades

Mommy and Daddy took me to Shades again for a hike. I REALLY love going there! We hiked in a creek bed today, it was slick and I jumped on trees that were fallen down, and I ran through leaves! I even found the ONLY puddle of water in the whole creek bed! I splashed in it with ALL FOUR FEET! It was the most fun day!

I got a little too excited a few times, and started running around like a mad-dog, doing circles around daddy. They tell me to calm myself, but I can't help it, I just get SO excited! I also almost pulled mommy over (Even wearing my gentle leader) when we were on a steep trail. I love to RUN up the stairs too...everyone else complains, but not ME! I love everything about walks!


I got my kong stuffed with peanut butter today too *oh yummy* I love that! Mommy knows when I need some peanut butter, because I take my Kong to her, and put it on her arm. If she tries to ignore me, I just push her with it some more. Usually she gives up and fills it..

Back to nap time with Daddy for me!

spending time at Grandma's

Mommy and I have been at my Granndma's house two days in a row. I like going to visit, but Roxie (Grandma's dog) doesn't like other dogs, and she tries to start fights. We have to take turns being in crates, and I don't like being in my crate at Grandma's house, I want to be out chewing stuff! I found one of Roxie's toys yesterday, and I chewed it to pieces. It serves her right for not playing nice with me! Mommy said we had to hide there because the landlady is crazy and wants to come in and yell at her for no reason, and she wants to spray the house with chemicals...but won't tell mommy what it is, so I can't stay at the house by myself. Mommy even left the doves at Grandma's house, she says they're so sensative that any chemical can kill them, and they're Mommy's babies, so she won't let anything bad happen to them.

I really like going for a ride in the car! It's so fun! When mommy and daddy are ready to go, they open the garage door, and I run circles around the car herding it until they open the door for me. I'm always ready for a car ride! I can't believe I was so scared of it when I was little, I cried for an entire 2 hour ride once in the back seat. Mommy and Daddy weren't happy with me!

That's enough about rides and trips and Grandma's house. I"m going to go lay on the sofa with the cat for a few hours!

I want those bugs!

My mommy has an aquarium with little bug things in it, I REALLY would like to eat them, but mommy says they're not bugs, that they're Hermit Crabs, and are not snacks! The little furry things, I like to sniff and lick when mommy takes them out, she calls them mice. I will be nice to the mice, but if mommy ever turns her head, I"m going to eat one of those crabs!

Today mommy was cleaning out the crabs, and started getting upset. I thought maybe the cat ate one when nobody was looking, but nope, mommy found on of the legs had fallen off. After digging around, she found the crab, alive! She said he "molted" She got all excited and called daddy, I don't know what the big deal is, humans are nuts!

It's booming outside, and I have to potty, but it's scarey out there, I'd rather go on the rug...but mommy says "you'd better not potty on the floor!" so I have to listen to her. I"m just going to lay here on the floor until the booming stops.....then I'll go outside and splash in mud! OH BOY! Our back yard is mostly mud, mommy hates it...but I think it's fantastic for playing in! I need a bath anyway!

The rainy day!

Today has been very rainy, and my mommy didn't take me for a walk. I don't know why she won't walk me on rainy days, because I REALLY don't mind as long as it's not pouring!!! I think she's lazy. Sometimes, when mommy is on the computer, I bring her my toys, and she just looks at me and says "in a minute" whatever that means!!!

Speaking of toys, some of mine have been disapearing lately, and I can't figure it out. Just as I FINALLY get the stuffing out of them...they disapear! Today I chewed on my last tennis ball, and I had *just* gotten the velvety stuff off and was working on chewing the rubber, when I heard my daddy's voice and ran into the kitchen, mommy told me to wait (I did as I was told) and when I came back to the spot I last saw my ball, it was missing! Mommy told me she'd buy me a new one this weekend.

My Natey came by today and watch some movie with my mommy, he played with me a bit, and gave me some sweet stuff that melted when it hit my tongue. That cotten candy was delicious, and I spent the next 10 minutes trying to get more out of him, but he didn't give in. I got bored because they were just sitting there watching the tv in the dark, and so I started jumping on Nate and giving him a bow, but he just WOULDN'T play...mommy got up and filled my squirrel buddy with peanut butter, kibble, and carrots. It was good so I left them alone.

Right now, I'm sleepy. I think I'm going to go lay on the couch for a while and nap. Maybe I'll go chase Stimpy when I wake up, or I can get mommy to play fetch with me...oh yeah, nice game of fetch *howls*
