Bio:
Nikki is a very high maintenance gal. She is typical of her breed and loves to work. I have put her through basic and advanced obedience and she is really good at agility. My trainer has encouraged me to start her in French Ring but I don't think I'm that trainable.

It's really hard to get Mom to write entries for me. As you can see the last one was my 6th birthday...(roll my eyes). I don't feel like 7 although I have a level of maturity that was non existent for years. Mom says she's glad I've slowed down...she always said I was labor intensive; whatever that is.
I am now officially the alpha of the other two dog pack members. I keep Mom on her toes trying to be the alpha of the whole pack, but she keeps reminding me whose boss... awwwww bones anyway! I think I would be a great head of family. She keeps me telling me to go "over, sit, down, heel, finish", blah blah. I do it all for family peace though, she really should be more grateful.
As far as getting old?? Nah, I am gorgeous. My coat is soft and shiny, I can still run like the wind and climb almost anything. Even though I have a gray muzzle, I went gray at 3 yrs. so it doesn't mean anything. I am hoping for a bone other than the ones I get here (can't eat em) for my celebration today and an extra long run up the mountain!!!!
Thank you Dogster for thinking of me. I will nose Mom more do get on here!!!!

Happy birthday to me

Hi all...I am 6 today! Yea...and yum yum, I know what that means! Lots of treats just for today. Mom is usually pretty cheap when it comes to treats. Guess I have to watch my figure, after all I am six now and it is harder to stay model slim like I've always been. I am still very active and can jump over fences way taller than myself. Mom says to watch my legs now as, after all I am 6. I am looking forward to the next year of living with my great family...being alpha dog to Elmo and Ej (Ej keeps trying though), and I am getting so smart that I think I'll take up reading, Ha Ha!!!

I'm an athlete now!

Hey! I am now a gymnast in agility classes now! I can do the weaves, hurdles, tunnel, teeter totter, dog walk, tire, and A frame. I do the table and stay down for a full 20 seconds too! I came in second on the first round of competition but the second round I made a mistake and followed Mom instead of going through the tunnel. It was pretty funny though cause she ran to the other end and when I didn't come out she looked in and said "where is she??" The whole gallery laughed cause I was behind her and she couldn't see me. I lost a bunch of time but it was worth it to see the look on Mom's face! Now that I know what I'm doing I am going to work on quality and accuracy instead of just time. Once I get that down I can speed up and win every time. Someone there said that we Mals are really good at this sort of thing, and I have to really agree with them on that one. Training Mom however is another thing altogether. She seems to get a little buck fever when we are in competetion. I guess she will learn in time. She needs to know I can do it all on my own and I will pretend I am doing what she wants me to when its actually the other way around. Oh well it is a lot of fun anyway
