Likes:
Brownie likes to wrap himself up in blankets no matter what the weather. Unfortunately, he often leaves his butt hanging out from under the covers!
Pet-Peeves:
He doesn't like anyone to drive or even walk down 'his' street!
Favorite Toy:
He doesn't really like toys. After all, he's an older gentleman. It wouldn't be dignified!
Favorite Food:
Pig ears! And more pig ears! And lacking pig ears, he'll eat whatever we're having, thank you very much! He is especially fond of Italian cuisine and his favorite veggie is broccoli.
Favorite Walk:
The backyard. We can't take him anywhere else, he wants to eat everyone!
Best Tricks:
Looking dapper. He is also Head of Security and 'protects' us from everything, including the ~s~h~u~d~d~e~r~ mailman!
Arrival Story:
Our niece found Brownie in February 1998 sitting in the middle of a street in a foot of snow during a blizzard. He was extremely frightened. It took the better part of 2 hours for her to coax him out of the road.

Bio:
We believe Brownie was about a year old when we found him that fateful night in the snow filled street during a blizzard. He was obviously abused and abandoned by his previous owners. His front leg had been broken and had healed badly. You can see that the leg is not in the normal position, but is twisted to one side. We try not to think about how the leg got broken.

Brownie still to this day thinks someone is going to hit him with the broom. Every time we get the broom out to sweep he comes running and barks at the broom while trying to bite it. He feels the same way about the vacuum cleaner and has actually bitten it even though it is made of hard plastic and metal. Because of this behavior, we give Brownie lots of hugs, pats and reassurance.

Brownie snores when he is sleeping and sometimes when he's awake! We find his snoring to be very soothing and not the least bit annoying! Brownie also likes to grunt. When he grunts we call him our 'Pot Bellied Pig' because he sounds just like one.

He also demands to be petted by butting our hands with his head. He is especially adamant about this whenever we are paying any attention to Cheyenne.

If Brownie has a treat such as rawhide or a pig ear, he is absolutely convinced that everyone else wants it. He will growl deep in his throat to let us know that he is 'on to us'.

Oh, and if we are having breakfast, lunch or dinner, or just a snack, he waits patiently for us to share some with him. He especially likes Italian Cuisine, any kind of meat or fish, veggies, breadsticks and, of course, fortune cookies for dessert.

Brownie spends his day 'protecting' us from School Buses, Cars, People walking through the neighborhood, and assorted wildlife. He does this by perching on the back of the couch and barking wildly while watching all of the above invade what he considers to be his 'perimeter'. If the mini blinds are in his way he will chew off pieces so that he can see out. This has resulted in replacing the blinds several times until we finally gave up on them all together. At night, Brownie 'protects' us from assorted inexplicable noises by barking loud and long several times a night. He takes his responsibility very seriously!
