Hunger Strike or (Mommy Doesn't Love Me Anymore???)

It's nice having Mommy home for the summer. She has all this free time to play with me and is never having to mark papers or do lesson plans. The only bad part is that she has more time to wait for me to eat. She also has the idea that eating straight dog food is better for me and will keep me healthier. She cut out the chicken and chicken juice and all the chicken good stuff that she use to give me in order to get me to eat so she could leave and get to school on time. Now she will only give me pieces of chicken if I eat the dog food first. She must be dreaming!!! Today is day # 2 of her scheme. It's now 9:30 AM and my "food" has been sitting in my bowl for 45 minutes. I sniffed it and walked away. I begged her for a taste of her bagel and swiss cheese, but she finished it in a hurry and whined "I'm sorry Baby".
Yeah, right!!! Now I'll fix her. I'm going to walk out of the kitchen and she's going to folllow me in about 15 minutes and rub my belly and try to get me to go back to the kitchen. No way, Mommy-O!!!
Yesterday, she tried to fool me. Instead of giving me the usual Wellness kibble, she opened a sample bag of Innova Evo. I thought she was eating chips and ate some. I was so hungry that I ate more. Now she thinks that I like the stuff and is going to buy a big bag this morning. Oh, please!!!!!
Why is she treating me like this? All I need is some juicy pieces of chicken and I'll eat the whole thing. I even know how to pick it out from between the kibble when she mixed it together. What I wouldn't give for some sweet roast chicken pieces. Help!!! What should I do???? I'm starving!!!!

Tummy Problems!!

Boy do I have tummy troubles. It all started last Tuesday morning. Mom and Daddy left for work and then it all began. I had eaten a nice big breakfast.....more than usual in fact. But then it all began to explode in my tummy. Out it all came and it wouldn't stop. i wass so scared and sick. And then I was gagging with nothing left in my belly. It really hurt. Good thing Daddy decided to come home from work early because I don't think I would have lived much longer. Daddy got really frightened when he saw me. He scooped me up in his arms and wrapped my shivering body in a towel and called Mommy to meet us at the Vet. He laid me on his lap as he drove and kept begging me not to die. At the Vet, they stuck me and pinched me and tested and couldn't find anything wrong. They made me stay in a cage in a strange place. I missed Mommy and Daddy so much. They finally let Mommy and Daddy take me home the next night. I was so happy, even though I still had a tummy ache. Mommy stayed home from work and took such good care of me. She gave me lots of belly rubs and hugs and kisses.Sometimes she cried and begged me to get better. She tried to give me some bad tasting medicine, but I kept spitting it out after I ate the chicken that she hid the nasty stuff in. Finally, Daddy made me swallow the pills.
Each day I'm getting better. I'm sure lucky that Daddy came home early last week!

I'm so happy to be able to meet new friends. I'm also glad that my Mom has people that are helpful and can give her some advise. I'm her first puppy and she didn't have a clue about how to take care of me when I was first adopted. She has learned a lot, but she still treats me like a human pup (her humans boys are grown now). Dogster is a great site for her to learn and ask questions.
