Squish (foam) Balls, especially when we're willing to play 'keep away' with him = great fun for HIM, zero fun for us!

Favorite Food:
Chicken! (Something he can't have as he's extremely allergic to it!!!)

Favorite Walk:
Around the town square in the little town where he 'works'.

Best Tricks:
He takes a girl's hair scrunchie, puts his paw on one end, pulls the other end back with his nose and lets it go - it flies across the room. He also dances and sneezes on command, the latter of which never fails to draw laughter.

Arrival Story:
My daughters and I were wishing for a small little 'cuddly' pup while my husband wanted a large 'manly' dog... and unable to agree upon a breed we went dogless for many years. Two of my girls have asthma and are allergic to almost everything and their doctor gave us a short list of 'anti-allergic' dogs to choose from with strict instructions to keep the dog clean and pollen-free. This definitely limited the choices to be made. We researched our choices and thought a lhasa would be suit us, although my husband voiced his objections: "We can't have a small, fluffy dog - we live in the country!" and "I don't want a dog I'll be stepping on." An ad in our local paper kinda popped out at me one winter day. The ad was for lhasa puppies in a particularly bad part of town. I had to literally beg my reluctant and doubtful husband to take us to look at them. Well, it only took a few minutes of watching the precious, swiriling little puffballs for him to be smitten. And while all the puppies were adorable, there was something extra endearing about the little fellow we brought home. He's the best purchase we've ever made. The sweetest part of this story is Spencer has become the love of my husband's life. He wouldn't trade his little guy for the biggest, most 'masculine' dog anywhere. This little pup has brought out a very sweet side of my husband, a side we'd never seen before. Spencer definitely has him wrapped around his little paw... and we couldn't be happier.

Bio:
Spencer is not only a beloved family pet, he's also a working dog. He goes to work each day at our store, he is a terrific greeter. His sweet disposition, his gentle nature, and his charming personality has endeared him to everyone who knows him... and it's not at all uncommon for people to come into the store just to see him. He has a keen sense of who likes him and who doesn't -if he feels a person is not an animal lover, he simply heads behind the counter and leaves them be - he's really an amazingly intelligent pup. And - most importantly - it's wonderful to be able to bring my 'best friend' in with me each day: I'm aware how very lucky I am in every way.
