Arrival Story: After many months of searching for a Dogo Argentino puppy in Canada (hard to find) we came across a breeder that had just arrived from Argentina and they had puppies available. We saved up all of our money and had our new baby boy flown to us. At 9 weeks old he was already 20 lbs and quite the handful!! Bio: Korg was diagnosed with a Grade 5 heart murmur. He had an aortic stenosis and a pulmonic stenosis as well as two other heart problems. We spent several hundred dollars having tests and cardiac ultrasounds done. He wasn't expected to live past 6 months of age. At a year old we had another ultrasound done. The veterinarian couldn't beleive he was still alive. At a year and a half he started showing aggression....he already disliked other dogs, but now was becoming very protective of his family. We weren't able to neuter him due to his heart condition so it was just a matter of time. In the end he was becoming very uncomfortable..panting and coughing all the time. Two weeks before his passing he attacked a stranger in our house - not his fault..he was simply protecting his family..but he paid the price with his life. The hardest thing we ever had to do was say good bye to our baby boy....our hearts will always have a void - he was a very special and incredible boy. RIP my sweet sweet boy.
