Back to NormalMarch 17th 2007 7:27 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
My knees are healed perfectly and I'm back to my normal activity. We even hiked a few miles this morning and I didn't limp at all and I'm not in any pain! Before the surgery, a short walk around the neighborhood would make my knees so sore that I could barely move for a couple of days.
Looking UpJanuary 30th 2007 4:00 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Things are getting better around here! I got my stitches out yesterday so my legs aren't itchy anymore. The doctor said my knees are strong and that I'm walking perfectly! But I still have a month before my legs are fully healed.
I'm Getting Frustrated!January 22nd 2007 9:26 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Mom has been getting on my last nerve! She won't leave me alone, she won't let me go where I want, she stands right over me when I'm walking around the house, and she won't let me lick my itchy legs. What is wrong with her?!
On the Road to RecoveryJanuary 20th 2007 5:54 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
I had bilateral knee surgery on Thursday. It's only two days later and Mom is shocked that I'm already walking pretty well! Of course, I still have to stay in a crate until March 2. So Mom bought me lots of Kongs and "brain toys" to keep my mind busy. I can be out of the crate if Mom sits with me to make sure I don't do anything silly. I'm also allowed to take very short walks, but since it's so cold outside and half my body is shaved, I have to do my walks inside.
Happy DaysJanuary 11th 2007 2:48 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
These past couple of days have been great! I got two, count them, TWO rosettes yesterday from Wylie and Sophie! They are a couple of gorgeous poms with giant personalities. Wylie likes the same things I do, like rolling in mud, swimming, and playing with the water hose! We could be soul mates. BOL. Sophie is the spunkiest little pom I ever did see. If you visit her page, be sure to check out her video book.
I'm Scared...December 31st 2006 10:07 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
Well my knee has been getting worse lately. It doesn't take much anymore for it to be sore for a day or two. Just chasing my frisbee a few times will make my knee so sore that it's really hard to sit down, get up, or walk. It's also getting harder just to jump in the car or walk up the ramps to the couch and the bed.
Santa and SwimmingDecember 16th 2006 7:15 pm[ Leave A Comment ]
I met someone named Santa Claws at Petsmart. He wore a red suit and had lots of fur on his face. Apparently, if you've been a good doggie all year, he will bring you lots of presents for Christmas. But first you have to sit on his lap and tell him what you want. So I told him what I wanted, gave him a little kiss on the nose, and we got our picture taken. I hope he brings me everything I asked for.
Fun WeekendOctober 15th 2006 2:27 pm[ Leave A Comment ] We went to a dog festival yesterday and it was pretty fun! My sis and I got lots of attention from different people. We saw some weird dogs wearing costumes too. I ran in Speed Alley, where you chase a bag around a track and they see how fast you run. They clocked me at 16 mph!! I wasn't running my fastest though. Now if they threw a frisbee, watch out! I would probably get around 20-25 mph. Then we went to visit Mom's grandparents. Since it was really cool outside, they left the door open for us to go in and out to the backyard as we pleased. Mom even sprayed me with the water hose... fun! Good times, good times.
Pee Pee PantsAugust 6th 2006 1:53 am[ Leave A Comment ] We were driving home from the dog park today and I peed on Mom's lap. She was SO grossed out, but hey, it's a long drive and I couldn't hold it any longer. Okay, so I could've at least peed on the passenger seat where no one was sitting, but I was already in her lap so it was much more convenient. She said it was like deja vu from when she first brought me home from the breeder. Of course I did have a much smaller bladder back then! BOL. Good times, good times.
Row, Row, Row Your BoatAugust 6th 2006 1:33 am[ Leave A Comment ] Mom took me and my sis canoeing! It was the first time in a canoe for all of us. Mom was a little scared, but I was having fun. It was smooth sailing until Mom splashed me with the paddle. I LOVE getting splashed with water, so I had to keep barking at her really loud so she would do it again. Then I was going from side to side trying to catch her paddle when she was rowing. I'm pushing 10 lbs now so I was really rocking the boat and making Mom extra nervous. I jumped in the water a few times and got to swim some laps too. Good times, good times.
