Arrival Story:
I wanted another puppy in the household and was thinking about getting a Pug. But after spending time with a few, I realized they weren't the breed for me or for my existing dog. As I was sadly realizing this, I met and fell in love with a rescued Boston Terrier mix at a speciality food & supplies pet store. After that, I researched anything and everything about BT's, asked many questions, and still was in love. I signed up with rescue groups around my area - but they all said they rarely get any. So I looked for one to buy and spoke to a few breeders. On a whim, I looked in the Pennysaver and saw an ad for a litter that was just born. I talked to the breeder and she was very nice and honest (I even spoke with her Vet) so I headed up a few days later to meet her and the litter (3 hour drive). I met Kiko's parents and the breeder and learned this would be their last litter. Of course, I fell in love. I then drove up and back (6 hours all together each time) to visit my Kiko until she was ready to come home with me.

Bio:
Kiko's my little girl - but she denies it. I try to put her in pink and wear cute collars - but she's a bruiser. She keeps up with her big sister, wrestling as if she were the same size. But when she's sleepy or scared, she gets as close to me as possible to save her. She's silly and cute, but tough all the same.

howloween

mom says it's howloween today. last year i was a ladybug but this year im too big for that costume. mom said she's sorry no costume for me because she got a cold and didnt feel good enough to go out and get me one. that's ok because i hated that ladybug hat i had to wear last year. but i think i would have been cute with those bat wings she saw at 3dog bakery - i told her that she should just buy me things whenever she sees them and thinks of me. but she said that when she does that she loses too much money. oh well. but instead mom took me and my sister Kaji out to play ball in the back yard so we could get tired before the kids come knocking on the door to get treats. not fair! I want lots of treats too - i dont get that when i bark. anyways, we went out and she threw the ball for my sister - what a dork. mom keeps throwing the ball and then kaji goes and runs for it and BRINGS IT BACK! that's sooo dumb! whenever i am able to get the ball - i don't bring it back! what's the point?! mom obviously doesnt want that ball if she keeps throwing it away. but then when i do that, they find another ball to throw. it gets boring running away with the ball when they dont follow me. they don't get my game. but maybe one day they will understand they are supposed to chase me instead of finding another ball to throw.
anyway - i'm taking a nap in my crate now after all the fun outside. and mommy's hoping i'll be tired when the kids come by so i dont scare them away. hehe yeah right. i hate it when people knock on the door and they just go away instead of coming in to see me and give me treats. mommy says maybe i'll wear my red silk chinese jacket and be a china girl this year. she found kaji's vampire cape. ok nappy time!
