Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 15th 1993
Likes: As Mac got older, he loved sleeping and snuggling up with someone.

Pet-Peeves: Mac did not like going to the groomers, but he was sooo pretty afterwards. :) He was also very afraid of fireworks and thunderstorms.

Favorite Toy: Those hard marrow bones, a pig and a clown squeeky toy.

Favorite Food: Mac loved bread. He could hear the bag being opened from any room in the house.

Favorite Walk: Mac loved to walk around the neighborhood or at the park. We had one park in particular that we went to a lot that had a creek running through it with little wooden bridges throughout the walk path. I think that was his favorite walk.

Best Tricks: Mac wasn't much for tricks like catching a ball, or shaking hands. He did know when a treat was laid on the floor or on the couch and he was told "wait" he wouldn't touch the treat till he was told "OK".

Arrival Story: Mac was adopted on Dec. 5th, 1993. I had just graduated from college and used some of my gift money to purchase him. Back then I didn't know much about breed rescue groups and shelters, etc. so I bought Mac from a back yard breeder. He was just 8 weeks old and sooooo adorable. Shortly after bringing him home he got to see snow for the 1st time, he loved it.

Bio: Sadly Mac was put to sleep on Dec. 28th, 2005. He lived a wonderful 12 years, but his old age finally took it's tole on his health. Right before Christmas '05 he became very weak and was unable to stand up from sitting or laying down. I knew the end was near, but I waited till after the holiday to take him to the vet. I just couldn't say goodbye when he had presents under the Christmas tree. The picture at the bottom of his webpage was taken on Dec. 26th, my last picture of him. You can see his tummy is swollen from the internal bleeding he had. Even though he was very weak and tired, he was still such a happy and loving dog. Smiling for his picture even. I miss him dearly every day.

Favorite Place to Sleep: Most of his life Mac slept on the bed right next to his Mommy, but as he got older he couldn't get on the bed anymore, so he had a nice fluffy comforter folded on the floor for his bed. :)

My Dearest Mac~
You were my best friend for 12 glorious years. I knew the first moment I saw you that I wanted you in my life, needed you in my life. You showed me unconditional love and affection. You were an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on in good times and in bad. You brought never ending joy and happiness to my life. I loved you more than I thought I could ever love an animal, but you were soooo much more than my pet. You were my baby boy, my Maccaroni, my Pookie Doo. My heart is still broken from losing you and I still can't believe you are gone. I miss you terribly every day. Thank you for always reminding me of what is truely important in life. Thank you for all the wonderful memories, all the times you made me laugh and all the times you melted my heart. I will love you forever and I know we will be together again one day.
Until then,
xoxoxo
