Quick Bio:
-purebred

Birthday:
May 15th 1991

Likes:
he loved being with his family and adored every person he met (most adored him back too). He also loved neck scratches from me b/c I had long nails.

Pet-Peeves:
he didn't like going on long walks in the florida heat when he got older, also didn't like getting his ears cleaned weekly and HATED baby gates b/c one fell on his when he was a pup.

Favorite Toy:
his favorite toys varied, but he loved nerf footballs - he went through several b/c he used to eat them all the time and they'd have to be taken away. He also like badminton birdies but tried to eat those too.

Favorite Food:
anything we were eating...but in terms of what he was allowed those greasy nasty pig ears :).

Favorite Walk:
when he was younger, I don't think he cared...when he was older, he just didn't want to walk during the day when it was hot even when we wet him down w/a hose first (usually he was dry within 10min anyway).

Best Tricks:
he used to sit, lie down, shake and was a great little swimmer. He would cry and cry if he saw anyone outside using the pool, even if they were just putting their feet in, b/c he wanted to be in the pool so badly.

Arrival Story:
My parents adopted Max because he was the runt of the litter and was very sickly and the breeder (who uses springers for hunting) was going to put the dog down. So we got him with pneumonia for free, treated him w/antibiotics, and loved and enjoyed his wonderful personality for 13 years before he died of a cancerous tumor in his nasal passage. His nasal passages and ears also never grew to full size (see even in his adult pictures how small his nose is in comparison to other springers like Trey), and he had frequent infections growing up, but other than those localized infections he was a healthy happy extremely loved little pup (we always thought of him as a pup, even when he was 13...)

Bio:
He was such a lovely sweet calm beautiful inquisitive dog...and he will be missed by us all. We have had other family dogs but Max was everyone's favorite. I only wish he had lived long enough to meet my dog, Trey, another springer. I think they would have been great friends, except Max probably would have thought Trey had a big clown nose and was inexplicably hyper (max was unusually calm for a springer his whole life). Max spent all his time following my mother around when she was home...no matter what she was doing he was her little shadow. His personality matched his beauty...he is surely watching over Trey and all his other doggie buddies from heaven.
