Likes: Sleeping and eating Pet-Peeves: young, loud dogs Favorite Toy: Preacher likes to rip the stuffing out of squeaky toys! Favorite Food: Pretty much anything! Favorite Walk: To the lake-it's the only trail he is allowed to run loose on since he's lost his sight. Arrival Story: Preacher and his friend, Franklin, spent a year in our local Humane Society. They both got very depressed. They had been working sled dogs prior to being dumped. Being in the shelter was a very stressful place for both of them. They came here in January 2002 as our very first foster dogs. We failed at fostering them six months later! Bio: Preacher lost his sight to progressive retinal atrophy. He navigates very well and rarely has any problems with his blindness. Preacher has other health problems as well, but he continues to be a happy dog. His quiet acceptance and dignity is inspirational!
Preacher passed away on December 21, 2006. He had an intestional blockage which turned out to be one of many tumors in his abdomen. He crossed as he lived--with dignity, courage and acceptance. Forums Motto: Get over it! I've Been On Dogster Since:
