I then visited the discover dogs show at Earls Court in November to check out the breeds I was interested in. My choices were mostly toy breeds as I live in a flat; while walking around the toy section I saw a little fella with the most earnest expression. The biggest eyes and such a look that said, I didn't do honest ( i realise now) at the time I read, do take me home, you know you want to. I spoke to the man who sat at the stall and asked about Griffons and he gave me some info about the breed and how difficult it was to get a pup. I tore up my top5 list right away and focused on finding a griffon to come home with me. It was those goo-goo eyes that did it. Bio: Rufus is a red rough griffon who is not aware of his own size. He thinks he is a very big dog and lately he thinks he is a guard dog. Now the blinds are drawn in the daytime! Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. Tagged dogs must post the rules in their diary and their 7 things. Then choose 7 pups to tag and list their names. Ok here goes, I am thankful for
1. My Mom who loves me all the time
2. My day mom and sister who love me too.
3. Themba the cat whom I love to tease
4. My ball skills that make Ronaldinho look like an amateur, it's a gift.
5. My Park where I can walk unleashed and play in leaves.
6. My doggie bags which mean I can go into shops with mom where people always make a fuss of me.
7. My good looks - being so good looking is a charm and being Dog of the Day on Dogster; I met so many new doggie friends.
I could go on but I will save that for next time. Watch out I could be tagging you.
On Saturday I took my humans out to see some other dogs and boy did we have fun. I saw lots and lots of dog of all shapes and sizes and made friends with a young lurcher girl I guess she couldn't resist my good looks...most people can't.
I had a go at agility and I noticed my day mom tried to get me in a pool of dirty water - must have been some kind of trick because she keeps saying I am not allowed in puddles big or small. Oh well, I ignored her good and proper but laughed really hard when a border collie went flying in without waiting her turn. Apparently she is crazy about water, she wouldn't even come out when called she just swam and swam. Back to me, I enjoyed the agility especially the jumping and the running, I hope I can try it again sometime. I got lots of treats and my favourite has to be the brown rice and lamb treats...yummy. After paying court all day, i decided i'd had enough and wanted to leave when guess what, a relative came to the grounds - yes, another Griffon in the house. You know how rare that is. Everyone stopped to look...Same colour as me and wait for it...same name. How strange is that. It was so confusing when our humans were trying to get our attention. I hope he joins dogster and he can be in my corral! We are going to get together with him and his friend Ruby Scrumptious - she was very friendly. i hope to tell you all about it later.
I thnk it's my middle name or surname but people always say "he's adorable " when they see me - how do they know my name!
I've not had alot of time to write my diaries lately - I've been busy hanging with my new friends Jan and Ian who are way cool and let me do whatever I like, almost! Till my mom gets back and she does not seem to melt under my goo goo eyes like Ian does. All I have to do is look at him for a minute or two and he capitulates, bet you all wish you had eyes like mine. I was so close to getting at the cat food, then mom found out and told him NO WAY! Why o why, I was so close, it sure looks good and my new best friend Kosi sure enjoys eating it.
After I go round Kosi's in the morning we run around at the speed of light and then have a game of hide and seek. Kosi wins some times and some times I win. He is not a griffon like me, I am not sure what kind of Dog Cat is but he sure is fun. We love each other and mom says we are like brothers.
