Quick Bio:

Birthday: September 22nd 2005 Likes: Playing with doggie friends, eating!, going to the dog park, taking naps, going for long walks, riding in the front seat of the car, rolling on the carpet after a bath Pet-Peeves: Dogs that bark excessively at me, getting sprayed down after getting dirty at the dog park, having my toenails clipped, when mom won't let me hang my entire body out the car window, umbrellas Favorite Toy: Rawhide bones, his hedgehog (current non-rawhide favorite), "blinky" ball, rubber jack, assorted plastic objects and articles of clothing that don't belong to me... Favorite Food: Peanut butter! Also, bananas, broccoli, apples, Wasa crackers...really anything that doesn't bite me first Favorite Walk: Around our apartment complex - especially to the "dog park"! Best Tricks: Shake (I'm a leftie), spin, jumping flat-footed into an SUV, sit, stay, down. He learns tricks in no time flat - I believe, seriously, that he is a doggy genius. Kind of scary. Arrival Story: I searched for a Corgi for months. I met Rhys (then Adam) at the first Greater Houston Pembroke Welsh Corgi Fanciers' meeting I went to. I met him and the rest of his litter that day. I kept looking to be sure, but I ended up getting him two weeks later. (NB: When I first saw him, I didn't think I was going to be able to buy a dog for months, due to living situations - that's why he didn't come home with me that day. Luckily, the living situation changed about two weeks later - so I was able to actually BUY my puppy. I had to call the breeder and thought her pups would all be gone - but they weren't! I picked Rhys over his brother because Rhys was slightly smaller and just TOO CUTE.) Bio: Rhys has passed puppy & basic obedience classes. After that, he MIGHT begin pre-agility training. But he's kind of stubborn and overexuberant. :)
We all live in Alexandria, Virginia, now - just miles away from the nation's capital! Rhys really wants to go visit the National Mall - after all, if he pees on the Smithsonian, it's his! Titles: I received my AHBA Herding Capability Tested title on October 12, 2008. Go, ME!!
My Mommy helped me to the Bridge this past Friday. I had an aggression problem that I inherited from my doggy daddy (irresponsible breeder!). My Mommy tried everything she could to help me, but even the veterinary behaviorist said I would never be "cured." I hate to admit it, but I attacked Mommy a number of times - I didn't mean to - something just went wrong in my head.
I attacked her on Thanksgiving night and Mommy knew that she had no choice. She did what was best for everyone, including me. I never wanted to hurt anyone - I just couldn't help it. I always felt so bad after I hurt Mommy, but I couldn't stop myself. It hurt her so much to help me to the Bridge, but I forgive her - and I feel so much better now. I miss my Mommy and my sister so much - I know I will see them again.
Here are the rules of the game!
Each player starts with seven random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged, need to post in their diary the rules & their 7 pawsome facts. Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don’t forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and to read your Diary.
1) I like to lick my dog tags...and I can do it for hours at a time.
2)I love Baked Cheetos and Wheat Thins.
3) I love to sleep next to the toilet.
4) I will only play fetch INSIDE.
5) I am afraid of umbrellas...oh, and rainstorms.
6) I have white whiskers on one side of my face, black on the other (so does my sister Andy)!
