A Stray Dog's Prayer....

This is something I found on a shelter site..I found it to be very moving ....

Dear God, please send me someone who will care,
I am tired of running and am sick with despair.
My body is aching, it is so racked with pain,
In addition dear God, I pray as I run in the rain,
That someone will love me and give me a home,
A warm cozy bed and a big juicy bone.
My last owner tied me all day in the yard,
Sometimes with no water, and God, that was hard.
Then I chewed my leash God, I ran away,
To rummage in garbage and live as a stray.
Now God I am tired, hungry and cold,
And I am so afraid that I will never grow old.
They have chased me with sticks and hit me with stones,
While I run the streets just looking for bones.
I am not really bad God, please help if you can,
For now I have become just a Victim of Man.
I am wormy dear God and am ridden with fleas,
And all that I want is an owner to please.
If you find one for me God I will try to be good.
I will not chew their shoes and I will do as I should.
I will love them, protect them and try to obey,
When they tell me sit, lie down or stay.
I do not think I will make it too long on my own.
Because I am getting so weak and I am so all alone.
Each night as I sleep in the bushes I cry,
Because I am so afraid God that I am gonna die.
I have got so much love and devotion to give,
That I should be given a new chance to live.
So dear God, please answer my pray,
And send me someone who will really care.
That is dear God, if you are really there..

If you know of a stray dog or abused dog please, I urge you to contact your local humane society or spca for help. Each dog deserves a better life..and a chance to love..

Molly and Scout pray each night for all the lonely and abandoned dogs. Please help!!!!

Dog Talk

The Taco Bell Chihuahua, a Doberman and a Bulldog are in a doggie bar having a drink when a good-looking female Collie comes up to them and says, ''Whoever can say liver and cheese in a sentence can have me.''

So the Doberman says, ''I love liver and cheese.''

The Collie says, ''That's not good enough.''

The Bulldog says, ''I hate liver and cheese.''

She says, ''That's not creative.''

Finally, with his Mexican accent, the Chihuahua says, ''Liver alone......cheese mine.''

Top Ten Reasons Why It's Great To Be A Dog....

Top 10 Reasons Why It's Great To Be A Dog....

1. If it itches, you can reach it. And no matter where it itches, no one

will be offended if you scratch it in public.

2. No one notices if you have hair growing in weird places as you get older.

3. Personal hygiene is a blast: No one expects you to take a bath every day,

and you don't even have to comb your own hair.

4. Having a wet nose is considered a sign of good health.

5. No one thinks less of you for passing gas. Some people might actually

think you're cute.

6. Who needs a big home entertainment system? A bone or an old shoe can

entertain you for hours.

7. You can spend hours just smelling stuff.

8. No one ever expects you to pay for lunch or dinner. You never have to

worry about table manners, and if you gain weight, it's someone else's fault.

9. It doesn't take much to make you happy. You're always excited to see the

same old people. All they have to do is leave the room for five minutes and

come back.

10. Every garbage can looks like a cold buffet to you.

Hot Diggity Dawg......

Well, about three weeks ago, after missing my foster dog sister Polly, my mom comes home with another foster dog....she was much smaller, I guess you could say petite....and she was a Chihuahua...her name is Scout...she is the perfect little sister for me..we don't really play together like Polly and I did but we get along fine and she knows I am the dog dawg...I heard my mom say that we would just have her for a week or so while she got over a skin problem but then she had developed kennel cough at the shelter and had to be on meds for that...she is doing much better...the house sure is more lively again with her here..she really is attatched to mom which makes me a tad jealous but hey, I know who loves me the most...
The other day I overheard a conversation that went something like this..
"I don't think I can give her up...I love her too much..what are we going to do"?
"Well, why don't we just adopt her? Let's look into it."
And the next thing you know, my mom is coming home smiling and all happy because it turns out we were able to adopt Scout outright and now she will be here forever with me..oh we can finally go to the dog park and I can introduce her to all my friends there...
So I am so excited to have a new sister around here..and the cats don't mind her at all, since she is smaller than them...
I don't get as much time with Mom though because Scout wants to be in her lap all the time...but at night I still snuggle up to mom and I won't ever give up that anyone...
Life is good!!!!!!

4. Normally come when called
5. Never ask to drive the car
6. Don’t hang out with drug-using friends
7. Don’t smoke or drink
8. Don’t have to buy the latest fashions
9. Don’t want to wear your clothes
10. Don’t need a gazillion dollars for college, and…
11. If they get pregnant, you can sell their children.

I'm So Sad.......

I have been feeling sad for the past few see, I had a friend staying with us for awhile..a cute little girl named Polly..she was a Cocker mommy works for the spca and she was fostering Polly for seven weeks while she got better. Now I am sad that she has left us to go to her forever home. But I know she will be happy and get all the love and attention a dog deserves. She had a bad start in life. She was found on the side of the road. She was wearing a collar that was so loose it slipped over her sweet little head. She was barely alive and the wonderful people at the spca nursed her back to health..and then my mommy took over and helped her get better and better each day. We used to play all day long. Our favorite thing to do was tug of war...she always won but I didn't mind because I just loved playing with her. It was like having a big sister. She was four and I am two. I hope all the people who read this will realize how important it is to always look after you pet and don't let them wonder off...If it weren't for the great people who work for shelters, many of your pets would not have made their way to your hearts and your homes..I miss Polly so much, but I am glad I had some time with her before she went on to her forever home. Maybe I will run into her one day at the dog park. THat would be so cool...or maybe my mommy will bring home another foster dog soon...Hey Mom.....

Today is the first day of a brand new year. I want to wish all my dogster friends the best year yet ahead. There is so much to be grateful for this year. I have a happy home and live in sunny Florida. Today I went to the dog park and met some new friends. We had fun. I also got to see some old friends. Gizmo was there and I played with her for awhile. It was a beautiful day. I just want everyone to know how much you all mean to me and to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Good Golly Miss Molly ....My Point of View

I don't want buns of steel, I want buns of cinnamon.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a cash advance.

All I ask is a chance to prove money can't make me happy.

Letting the cat out of the bag is a whole lot easier than putting it back in.

In an argument, a woman always has the last word. Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

If you think you're a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else's dog around.

I'm busier than a one-toothed man in a corn-on-the-cob eating contest.

A fool and his money can throw one hell of a party.

The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the ability to reach it.

Look out for #1, and don't step in #2, either.
