My nursing duties

Hi Pups, I am currently the chief nurse here at my home. My human sister broke her right ankle and left foot--so she needs constant company of the Super Nurse Boy--ME! As you can see I am her constant companion--see me sitting in the wheelchair? I also sleep in the bed and keep her entertained with my cute antics. My job comes with some perks. Since she is bed bound she eats in the bed-and there I am to help her out sampling any little tidbit I can get my teeth into. My fursibs are not as agile as I am( they can't get into the bed or wheelchair) so I have the head job of watching over her during this 6-8 week recovery.

My Woofday

Yesterday was my woofday! I had lots of attention. I had to go to the vet but even that wasn't bad. The vet said I was in super condition--unlike those fursisters of mine who eat too much! Lots of my dogster pals at Schnauzers Rule sent me "Gotcha Day" wishes and I am wagging my little nub. Thanks for making my day special.

Thanksgiving

Hi Pups,
Today I am having lots of fun helping mom prepare the feast. Yum! She has even dropped so stuff on the floor--those croutons are good! I have been my usual bad self (so mom says). On Tuesday, I snatched from the table a small bag of almonds, walnuts, pecans and cranberries Mom was planning to have for lunch. I scrambled under the table and then warned Mom to keep away GGGRRRR!
Mom tried the sneaky trade that for a dog snack! NO WAY! Grrrrrr! so mom threw the treat and in a wink she grabbed that little bag away from me. Wel,I had already chewed a hole in the bag sooooo--all the nuts scattered all over the floor! My fursib Mandy cleaned up the evidence. But later the next day started vomiting whole almonds! Mom was scared-- Mandy was really sick and didn't want to eat. She called the vet and they fit her in and X-rayed her--there are still almonds in her stomach!! UhOH, I thinl I'm in big trouble. The vet said watch her that she seems OK. I was happy she came back home. We need the whole family here for the big holiday! I am thankful my mommy didn't put me back out on the street~ she really doesn't like it when I steal stuff! Have a great Thanksgiving pups.

Mom's Home

Well Mommy is back home with us and I am one happy boy! All went well with the surgery and the pathology report was good. So it's all over, she just needs to rest and heal I just love having mommy home all day long. I hope she never goes back to work.

New Collar

Well last night I chewed my collar off. Yep there it was just laying on the bed. So mom went and bought me a new collar on the way home from work. Now this new collar is pretty tough, and has cute designs on it, but it's PINK! Now my human sister is mad--she says mom is trying to make me look like a girl! Oh well I am a wagging, happy boy. I like my new collar, I felt naked without one. Mom says pink is for guys, too.

Santa Paws

Dear Santa, I hope you weren't watching me today. I am sorry but mom brought hope a delicious looking muffin from the market this morning and placed it up high. But It smelled so good that I couldn't help myself, so I jumped up on the table and snatched the muffin and ran under the table. Mmmm that Muffin was so good! Well, as you can imagine, Mom was NOT happy. She tried to retrieve her muffin but I growled and showed my teeth!!! Later when I wanted to apologize and snuggle on her lap, she wouldn't let me! I'm Home!!!!

Well Pups I finally got to come home from the doggie Hospital. I am so happy to be snuggling with my mom and my human sister. I have some stitches and have to take it east for a couple of weeks, but I am not really ready to romp around very much. Thanks to all my pals on Dogster who have sent me get well wishes and rosettes, and shown so much care and concern. Power of the paw works. I love you all, Oscar
