Arrival Story:
Alex was our first dog. We had 2 cats at that time. We knew we wanted to get a whippet, so the search began. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to find a whippet in Michigan. So we had to explore out-of-state. We found a wonderful breeder in Mississippi named Susan! Alex had to fly on a plane at a young age of 8 weeks. He was a trooper and made it up to us safely. We fell in love with him as soon as they brought him to us from the plane in his tiny crate. It was love at first sight! He's such a sweet boy and we love him dearly. The cats weren't too fond of him at first. But Kirby, our younger cat, and Alex ended up being pals. They would snuggle together and look out the window together, watching the birds. Unfortunately, Alex lost his buddy Kirby in December (2005) when Kirby suddenly got very ill. Alex noticed Kirby's absence, but he has adjusted well. He has been a wonderful addition to our home. He has brought us so much love, laughter and joy!

Bio:
Registered Name: "Spirit of Blue Lightning." Alex has lots of "Spirit," which is the name his breeder gave him. We wanted to keep part of that name with him, so we used it in his registered name.
