Treats! More treats... AND MORE TREATS! PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

Not a lot of things get to him, Apache's pretty easy going :)

Favorite Toy:
Tennis balls, stuffed toys that he can dissect and extract the stuffin'!

Favorite Food:
Any food :)

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere! but preferable the dog park where he can play "Rovin' Reporter!"

Best Tricks:
Getting treats with his eyes! He would sit and looks up at us as if to say, "look at me! I haven't been fed for the last 15 seconds!!!"

Arrival Story:
We were looking at the local shelter in our city for a Beagle mix. The staff there gave us the wrong availability date for this dog so she was adopted earlier than the date we were given. So I decided to look at the next city's shelter. When I saw Apache's photo (the primary one on this page), I knew we would have to go and see him. He looks so full of life, young, vibrant and just absolutely adorable! We went to see him on our lunch from work the following week. When we got to meet him, he was quiet and shy but soon he warmed up and gave my boyfriend a kiss :) We knew then that we weren't there to adopt him, we were there so that we can be chosen and adopted by him! Wednesday was the day we came back to do the adoption paperwork. The kennel attendant moved him to a surgery hold when we finished signing the paperwork. It was Friday, February 10, 2006 at exactly 4:50pm (10 minutes before the shelter closes) that we picked Apache up. We were full of anticipation and excitement! and frustrated because we were sitting in traffic for what seems to be an interminably long time. Not to mention the long line we had to stand in to show our IDs and the appropriate pick-up paperwork for him. The shelter worker called the attendant to have him brought out to us and while we were standing there finishing up the remaining paper signging, I felt a nudge on my left leg and when I looked down, there was Apache! looking up at me smiling and as cute as ever:) We pet him as we walked to the car and he was all wiggly and shivering with happiness! It has been nearly three months now that he has been with us and every moment with further endear him into our hearts! We can't remember how life was before Apache adopted us into his heart!

Apache likes to play "rovin' reporter" at the dog park :) oh and he likes to bark at Buddy, the Shih Tzu next door! AND Apache will do just about anything for ice cream!
