My Tail of Devotion for Charlotte

Charlotte darling, you are the most unique creature in the face of the planet. I had put off writing my own tale of devotion for you because I had yet to know the real you. Needless to say, your unconditional love makes it difficult to be without you. Your father always accuses me of loving your brother (Austin) more than you but my love and affection for you is different yet just as deep. I don't think I had appreciated your affection for me but as I think back in this wonderful year that you have been a part of our life, I love you like you were my own. Charlotte you are brave and vicious if someone threats anyone close to your heart. You are the alpha of the pack and Austin dares not gain control, he knows better. Charlotte, you are just like me, sensitive but kind. I love your kiss/nibbles...in which you give me a kiss then comes a nibble...who said loves not supposed to hurt? :-D You protect me and you really do complete me. I can't stay mad at you because you hide for days on end until I apologize, just like a non furbaby. You're not afraid of anything and always voice concerns with your "aroo's." You are the reason why I began a Scottie group; you're my inspiration. I love the way in which you playfully bite Austin when he's stealing your affection...you wait until I put him down and follow his every move until he's out of my "bubble" then you launch at him as if to say "she's mine!" You're smart but silly. I love your Scottie smile....the way you run with such vivacity and bravery. You are an essential addition to our family and I can not, nor will I, imagine life without you my little die hard.

I am so mean!!!

It's been a while since I have "typed" anything in my diary but I have kept busy. Unfortunately, I have a mild skin infection near my eyes and it's been driving me nuts. I went to the vet and she perscribed a topical ointment to make the infection go away. It's getting better but its not all gone. Mom always calls me her evil baby because when she pays more attention to Austin, I bite his ear until he yelps. I am severly teething so anything I can sink my teeth on sure will sooth me and that includes Mommy and Daddy's ears. I have become so attached to Austin that when we go for a walk anywhere that he goes, I must go too. I hate it when people call me a Schnauzer because I know I am unique and I must be loyal to my Scottish roots! Will type more later!

My new kingdom

Greetings to all, my name is Charlotte, petite and feminine, just like me! Mommy picked that name very carefully so it would suit my personality. I inherited my new kingdom earlier this month but found that my older brother was under the assumption that it was all his, not any more! I'm so cute but not so friendly, I don't like people all in my face. What is this "kissy" business, I don't do things because you want me to; I do things WHEN I choose fit! Kinda like a cat! If anyone tries to make me kiss them, they get bitten, ask mommy and her newly deformed lip! They still love me though! Also, ahem, I don't walk down the stairs but wait 'till dear ol' mommy carries me, heh-heh. Austin gets jealous because everyone says I am soooo cute. What can I say, I am practically perfect!
