Arrival Story:
Tyson was adopted from the local shelter, where he'd been picked up as a stray. His owners were found, but they relinquished him. He was young and full of fun, a typical "teenager" Siberian Husky--he very quickly wormed his way into my heart. I love his antics and sense of fun.

Bio:
Tyson loves to play with other dogs and digging in the play field. He is a good, honest hard-working team dog on our recreational sled team. He loves to take showers by standing over the full force of the sprinkler and taking a "belly bath" stretching fore and aft to make sure he gets the full benefit of his shower. In the winter, when the sprinklers are put away, he will flop over on his back in the snow and scritch this way and that, enjoying his snow bath. Life is a game for Tyson, and his twinkly eyes full of fun and his joyful personality make me smile every day.] Update: Tyson had surgery on his right knee (ACL) in February, 2009. He was too bouncy and active and broke both implanted tendons, and had to have the surgery redone the first part of April 2009. He was crated this time around and very very slowly allowed use of the leg, which finally healed well. Unfortunately, soon after that his belly began to enlarge and it was an aggressive form of cancer. He was happy and bouncy and showed no other signs of illness until the evening of June 16, 2009, when he suddenly showed signs of distress. A rushed trip to the ER vet revealed that the tumor had ruptured internally. The decision was made to ease his way to the Bridge, where he waits for the rest of his Willow Run family, including me. I miss his handsome face and sense of fun SO MUCH. He loved his life as a house pet and was one of the best friends I have ever had. Tyson taught me that it is important to enjoy each moment, b/c we never know when those moments will end. Love you forever, Tyson-buddy.
