I had a visitor today..........

Well...... I know its been a while but here I go........

My moms went out for a walk today!! A nice LONG walk..... and I could not go!! I was mad!! but..... I was more mad when they came home and had another dog!!! A BIG BLACK DOG!! His name was Max!!
It appears as though Max followed my Moms and they were worried he would be hurt on the road. She tried to get him to go home but NO way..... he kept following my moms!! SO, they brought him home and called his vet....... the vets number was on his tags!! The vet called his owner and guess what....... his owner was in Florida on vacation!!! It seems as though somebody left his gate open!!! and he got out!!! Although he was not too far from him home...... he was on a busy road! He walked between my moms, with no leash!! (mom said he has better leash manners then I do!!) So, he stayed and visited for the morning before a friend of his owners came to get him! He may have better leash manners then I do but BOY DID HE MAKE A MESS!!!!! He drooled ALL OVER MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!

So that was my day...... now I am resting on the couch awaiting my next adventure!!

Send food!!

Its been a while....!! Now not only is my oldest boy on vacation my moms are leaving on vacation this weekend and I will be here with my oldest boy for a week!! I HOPE beyond all HOPE that he remembers to feed me!! So, send food please......... LOTS OF FOOD!! I am already STARVING!!!

BOL..... Only kidding! It is going to be a boys week!! Sit back, watch TV from the couch and just have a great time!! I bet I can even drink from the toilet bowl like a real dog!! I am sure that he will let me chase the kittys around a bit. I do need my exercise after all!! OH..... and the best part..... I will have the bed ALL TO MYSELF!! No humans to think about kicking me off cause its too hot! Don't they know its them..... they make me too hot!!!

My moms are only gone for a week. They will be home for my birthday so that is good!! I hope that mommie cooks me a steak like she has done in the past! She grills it for me!! And then I am SO SURE that I will get Frosty Paws from her!! I wonder what I will get for my birthday..... MAYBE they will bring me home a sombrero from Mexico........... Or......... who knows..........I will just be glad when everybody is home.........

Thats it for now my friends....... I'll bark at you later after vacation..... if it doesn't take me too long to recover from malnourishment...... BOL...

My nose..... and other ramblings....

My nose is still pink!! Who ever heard of a boy dog still having snow nose in May!! Its almost June even!!

My nose is usually this nice dark color. Just like all other Golden noses. In the winter I love to go outside and play in the snow. I love to stick my nose in the snow. When I do this my nose turns pink. The techinical name for this is Snow Nose. I went to the vet last weekend for my check up and my mom didn't even mention it to Dr. P!! I wonder if I can cover it with make-up??

My oldest boy is on summer break so he is home much more. He sometimes takes me out to play ball during the day!! And I love that mommie keeps the porch door open so I can enjoy that breeze!!

This weekend is Memorial Day Weekend!! That means that my mommies will be home for 3 days!! I know that I can get them to take me for a walk AND they will play ball with me. Maybe I will get to go to the farm and see my friends who live there!! That would be so exciting!! I know that the brook has warmed up so I could go wading in there to cool off!!!

Boring Boring...and Oh...I get to go to the vet...

Well, I have to say that this week has been BORING compared to last week! My human mommies are back at work and of course the boys are in school. The oldest has been home with me because he has finals but my youngest boy is in school all day. Why oh why can't everybody just stay home with me all day.... EVERY DAY!!

We have been having rain so to top off being bored I can't go outside and lay in the grass!! We had very scary thunder and lightening. I was a little so I stayed close to my boys who were home! Thank goodness I was NOT home alone. Usually lightening does not bother or scare me, but we even lost power!! And the rain was LOUD!! I could hear it when it hit the windows and the roof!

Maybe my weekend will be filled with a bit more excitement!! I do know that I get to go to the vet this weekend for my check-up. I heard one of my humans say that I need 5 shots!!! That is NOT going to be fun! I hope mommie lets me snuggle with her at naptime!! Naps ont he big bed are the bestest!!

Saturday!

Well, today was an OK day!! All my family was home. We did some nice old family yard work!!! and that is always good because I get to play ball as they work!! All was going great until that THING that cuts the grass came out!! I ran for the back door so fast my mom's head spun!! I HATE that thing!!

I didn't get to go to the farm today, but I did get to go on a long walk!! When I got home I even got Frosty Paws!! I LOVE those things!! On my walk I got to walk thru a brook again!! The water was refreshing!! My mom did not let me stop to check out the pee mail too many times!! But being able to go into the brook made it all worth while I think!!

Well, enough for now!! I need a rest after my walk!

Vacation Day - 5

Friday..... let me see..... I did not do much. My humans were woking on cleaning the basement!! It was pretty fun though. The oldest boy was helping and between him and mom they were throwing and kicking the ball!! Oh..... and Chili (the neighbors grand-dog) was visiting. We were talking thru the fence! Chili really does talk alot though.... and he talks loud!!

It rained here today so I was glad to be in the basement helping my humans! I didn't go on any car rides, or to the farm,....... just hung out!

I did go to a great party though and I would like to thank my pup friends for all the good times we have together! You guys ROCK!!

Vacation Day - 4 - BORING!!!

OK.... I am bored!! Bored, bored, bored!!!! Today BOTH of my moms went out and left me behind!! How can they do that??

I am getting ready to go to the barn ... BUT... I heard mommie say NO BALL for Kai today! She was stressing a bit because I was limping!! Big Deal..... maybe I slept funny on my front paw/leg... Doesn't mean that I can't play ball!! I will just limp again when I am done!! Guess I should NOT complain because at least she is taking me! Maybe I will dip into the brook!! Wouldn't that teach her!

So, I have spent my day lounging on the floor in the kitchen. I have been enjoying the cross breezes. Its HOT here........!! Two weeks ago we were freezing and now we are melting...... that reminds me......

HEY Lady..... where is my Frosty Paws......... Come on..... I deserve some sort of treat after you left me alone this morning!!!

OK........ after writing this I am bored again....... Bored, bored, bored!!

Bored today.......

IT GOT BETTER...... then BACK TO BORING!!!!

OK..... So I went to the farm. I visited my friends and then I almost met new friends. As I was wading in the brook (Yes, I went in today, but more about that later) I heard this interesting noise........ gobble gobble gobble........ and I went walking down the brook. It seems that the closer I went the farther away they were!! Mom said they were turkeys, and when they heard me sloshing thru the brook, they went into the hollow. Funny thing is, the second we turned around and headed back to the barn, they came closer!!! I just wanted to play with them!!

OK.... so back to the brook! I went in! It felt pretty good... nice and cool!! However, it was muddy!! and to me that is ICKY!! I sunk in a it in one place... I got a bit nervous and got out..... and then went back in!! There are these little things in the brook that swim around. Mom's friend called them tadpoles! I thought that they would lay with me but nope!! They swim fast! Remember how I said that mom was NOT going to bring the ball...... well.... she was NOT kidding!!! She didn't bring my ball..... for real!!!

BORING!!!

After supper I got excited when I saw mommie get her sneakers. I thought that we would be going for a walk....... well....... I was half right. SHE went for a walk and left me at home!! I am not going to limp any more!! It gets me nowhere!!!!

Vacation Day #3

Today its pretty quiet around here. My mom had to make 3 runs to the dump...... and I could NOT go... The nerve of her!! I have gone with her every day this week!! Thats just not cool!

My mom made me Frosty Paws today. She got the recpie from Lucy's mom. I licked the spatula after she was done and they are going to be YUMMY!!! She made banana ones!! She put them in ice cube trays to freeze. I need to be able to maintain my figure now that I have it!!! BOL.......

Tonight is my boys concert. He plays the trumpet........ loudly!! I might get to go to the barn today but I am not sure. Its pretty hot here and Mom probably will not let me run around too much, at least not till a bit later when it will be cooler.

So, I am napping. I am in the kitchen on the cool floor. There is a breeze coming in the back door and the front door. So, I am in the middle of a cross breeze!!

I love my life...........!!

Vacation - Day two!!

Oh Boy....... today I have had just as much fun as I did yesterday!!!

I went with my mom to visit a friend of hers who has an operation a couple of weeks ago. My mom kept telling me what a good boy I was so I musta been really good! Mommie did NOT put me on my leash at her friend’s house and we were outside all morning! I do have to say though, when mommie went in the house to "hurry up" (Mom here ... That is what we tell Kai when we want him to go potty) I went in the house with her. I even went into the bathroom with her! I like her friends and everything but I didn't want mom to be out of sight!

After we left moms friends, we stopped at Nana's for a quick visit. Mom did not put me on the leash there either!! Nana was a little scared that I would run off like I did one time when I was younger....... MUCH younger!! But I didn't, I stayed right with mommie!!

When we left Nana's we went to the vet. The vets is a weird place. Mom is not all that cool with the vet because she misses sissy and that is "the place" that sissy was last. So, mom gets nervous. I do my best to keep her occupied when we are there......... I give her hugs when she sits down. But... back to my story..... I had to go to the vets to get weighed. Last year at this time I weighed 96.7 pounds. Today, one year later, I weigh 79.4 pounds!!!! You do the math..... I can't..... BOL....... but I am NOW fit and trim and Dr. Patel said I was PERFECT!!! Mom can NOT call me lard a$$ anymore!!!

This afternoon I went to the barn again. I didn't smooch horsies, I just wanted to play and that is what I did......... play. I almost went into the brook but it is cold!! I like my water to be warm!!

Well, that is it so far! Wonder what mom has planned for tonight....

I did it!!

I did it!! I smooched a horsie!! You may not think this is a big deal but I am afraid of everything!! And I do mean everything!! My mom took me to the barn today and I was off my leash!! Being off my leash is a big deal in itself. The last time I was at the barn off my leash I would NOT come when she called me. Teddy, the fireman, had to help mommie get me. I was a young pup then though so I guess I am growing up!! Anyways, I was hanging around the fence with the humans as they petted the horses and T.C. and Jazzie both SMOOCHED ME!!! Nose to Nose we were!! They are REALLY big btw......... I think that it was a Kodak moment!! But....... do you think that anybody had a camera??

But...... I did it!! And I will do it again!!!
