I'm getting older

I'm getting older (sigh)

Well, tomorrow I turn 6. A lot has happened to me in 6 years...I got attacked by a pit bull when I was a puppy and became scared of the dark. I once ate all the chocolate out of my mom's stocking (that was a fun night), and I once was able to unravel the entire roll of toilet paper and pull it all round my parents' bedroom without breaking it!! My daddy was really impressed with that one!

I was the only child for almost 2 years...that's right, 2 wonderful years!! Some people might say that I was spoiled. I went everywhere with my parents...pet stores, Grandma and Grandpa's house, parades, car rides (I love car rides). I even used to get dressed up for Halloween and would wear my Eagles McNabb Jersey every Sunday!!

My parents then decided to move from our apartment and buy a house, and I became lonely after the move, so they decided I needed a companion, well it all went downhill from there!! That was 4 years ago, and they got me a little maltese named Lacey. She's pretty cool, but very yippy. Lacey and I get along great (better than most siblings). Then came Katie (a cat) about 10 months later. I love my sisters, everything was going great...until, one day my human mommy left for a few days, and upon her return came with her a miniature human that they keep calling "Meghan".

Ever since then, my life has changed, I am no longer the favorite...although daddy says "us guys need to stick together!" I learned to deal with "Meghan", although I don't get too close, because she likes to tug my hair and ears and lay on me, although she calls it hugs. She's getting really big now, I remember when she was smaller than me, now she's HUGE!! And what's worse...she took my McNabb jersey...now she wears it every Sunday, and not me =(

Then about 6 months after that "Meghan" came along, another surprise came through the door...this time, it was in the form of a kitten that my parents later named "Miller". Now, you want to talk about a pest...my goodness, that cat gets into all kinds of trouble and somehow the rest of us pets get yelled at too!!

Well, I thought we were done expanding the family, we had 2 dogs, 2 cats, a mommy, a daddy and a "Meghan", what else could we possibly need!?! Well, about 6 months ago, my human mommy went away again and this time she came home with ANOTHER miniature human, this one they call "Erin". I was so mad that I didn't go near my mommy for 3 days. I was hoping that if I
ignored her, she would take that "Erin" back. Well, I eventually gave in and forgave my mommy, because it didn't look like she was getting my message, and I missed her!!!! Well at least that "Erin" can't pull my ears yet.

So now my family has 2 dogs, 2 cats, a mommy, a daddy, a "Meghan" and now an "Erin"...I don't think this new house my parents bought could possibly hold anymore additions. My poor Daddy, he is surrounded by all those girls, it's just me and Miller to help him even the score!!

Well, that's just my thoughts as I prepare to turn 6 tomorrow. I have had a pretty good life so far and am looking forward to several more years with my wonderful family. Hopefully there won't be any more additions, I don't think my ears can handle it!! I really do love my family, but I wish they would let me nap every once and a while...I need my rest!!! Afterall, I'm not getting any younger!!
