My Hansel needed a pal so I strted looking for anotehr male. He is very partial to other neutered male dogs. I found Dieter on the New Mexico Daschhund Rescue site and fell in love with him. He looked so much like my Hansie and he needed a good home. He'd been in a puppy mill all his life and had been neglected and very probably physically abused. He was terrified when NMDR brought him to me and has never left my side since. His gets along well with Hansel but is jealous of him. If Hansel tries to nose my hand for a scratch, Dieter is right htere, shoving his nose in between. He is a challenge, a submissive urinator, not ver housebroken, easily startled and a noisy nervous barker. He's coming along though! It takes lots of patience and undersatnding, but he is improving by leaps and bounds.
